Relax woollies have digital balance accurate up to 3 decimal place at the veggie department! Much better than the scale at Coles!

highly unlikely. i found that some scales round up the digits so that you end up paying more for less.
then again, it's to counter those cheap bastards who rip the stems off broccoli and kept the florets.
I have done that before but those stems are really hard to rip off! Now, I just choose the broccoli with the shortest stems.
thing is, you can cook and eat the stems too.
i guess not many know that.

I had 1.200kg exactly in the Fruit and Veg department, but when I made my way up the escalators the pears had atrophied to 1.197kg. Scanned the book and the price came right off. I suspect the actual threshold might be a bit lower than 1.2kg.
Anyway, I had a quick flick through, and the book looks pretty good. I like pears, for my money they are one of the most underrated fruits…
