399 pounds for the console and 39.99 pound delivery works out to be about 200 bucks cheaper than Harvey Norman

I think it's still worth waiting to see what other Australian retailers come up with but for the people who have to pre-order and are willing to wait a few weeks, this may be your best option so far.

Is there any info on Zoning with this thing?

  • +9

The actual cost isn't known yet. Any pre-order price you see at the moment is just a placeholder.

Ill wait and see what the prices are here first

Stupid deal no price has been announced. Its like putting a deposit down for the ps5 in 7 years time

You'd be seriously stupid to put money down on this because:

*The One is likely (going by the inter webs) to be around $AUD449 for the 500GB model
    *Warranty would be an issue
*You will be able to walk into many, MANY shops locally at launch and get it cheaper.

Got a more concrete source than 'Interwebs' for the pricing?

      • -1

If I did I'd post it. Go have a look at the MULTIPLE gaming/tech sites that have speculated on pricing over the last 24 hours.

He raises a valid point. Why the hate?

        • +1

And most of those sites, if not all also thought it'd be called an Xbox 720…
Going by history I highly doubt it will be cheaper here in Australia than elsewhere, I would be shock if it would but it wont

Not to mention PS4 better ;)

silly comment, based on not enough information at this point.

I'll probably get both, like I have now. The PS3 and 360 are on par with each other really.

  • Not a deal, there is no base price for comparison as other prices are placeholders.

Personally I won't touch this console due to the fact that you can't sell your games when done with them nor lend them to friends etc.

I think it's worth while waiting for Microsoft to actually release a price before pre-ordering anything at this point.

These are only placeholder prices at the moment. Plus I wouldnt recommend importing one until any region locking is confirmed. Usually UK/Aus is ok as its a PAL region but you never know what they have in store considering all these things going around with games being locked to your account.

Official prices should be up for E3.

  • Not a bargain

  • Do they actually hold your money or do they pre-authorise your account? My Zavvi preorder for The Last of Us hasn't actually charged me yet, and won't until it ships is my understanding.

  • Placeholder price

  • Dumb deal considering how little we know about the Xbox One atm, let alone pricing.
Wait until E3 and take it from there I reckon. E3 is only a couple of week away, why pre-order now lol…

Personally I'll be buying both the Xbox One and PS4 but my god the Xbox One looks like an early 2000's dvd/vcr player…. They are supposed to be getting slimmer/smaller, guess Microsoft didnt get the memo

I'm only negging the deal because everyone else is :)

  • Can't determine if its a bargain without official pricing.
