Love getting free stuff, even better when it's free stuff I have a use for. Cheers

    • +5

Agreed. But it's 3M. So it won't arrive.

They can't stick to their word.

      • +1

I note what you did there

      • Are you saying, even though I filled out the form, they won't post it ?

        • Didn't you get the memo?

  • +13

Also good on them for having their promo permission option ticked on 'no' by default

    • +2

Except if you're so used to unticking those boxes automatically that you tick it by mistake

  • +6

I do my best work on Ozbargain

  • Thanks haymo, signed up.

"If you are one of the first 1000 people to sign up

Your FREE sample will be on its way to you soon!"

I already have Post-it notes but more of them free is always good :)

Thanks, my 5yr old loves these! He will be very excited.

Thanks. my 57yr old loves these(me!) I'll be so excited. Haha

lol i never got my last 3M product i signed up for last year.

I must admitted that about 20 years ago i did pick up like 20+ 100 sheet 3M stickpads of various sizes and like 50+ sample packs for free amongst other free office supplies during a grand opening of some sort. And boy was it grand lol

    • was that the infamous Diamaru grand opening sale in Melbourne, where the Japanese didn't realise that shoplifting was part of Australian culture, and they lost millions in stock due to light-fingered Aussies being less honest than their traditional Japanese customers.

I mean, your did say you "picked them up" you didn't say you bought them lol.

  • Thanks. This'll be perfect for giant retro pixel art.

  • Thanks OP!
Snoozed and lost last time. Not making the same mistake this time

    • Get freebies first then comment :)

      • Yep, that's how I did it. Ordered first, then commented :)

  • 100 clicks just when I finished filling in the form.

  • +2

omg.. i never got mine from last year..

    • Same here. All I got was a large envelope that was empty.

      • +1

        What the…

  • +7

cheeky buggas don't tell you whether you're in the first 1000 or not….slurping up data from unsuspecting Bargainers

    • +1

lol, I was wondering the same thing too.. judging from the 705 clicks on this website alone, I suspect that it's already exceeded the 1000 limit.

  • +1

The form doesn't seem to work properly if you choose 'other' and write 'in the bathroom' as the location where you do your best work. I had to lie and say "at work" to get it to, uh, work!

    • +1

I had to lie and say "at work" to get it to, uh, work!

      and you're a rep?! :)

  • Thanks!!

  • +2

yeah i never got mine last year as well..

  • fingers crossed - thanks OP

I didn't receive last promotion sample, nothing more than a data mine of personal details. 3M can jump of a cliff.

Edit: No need to neg, based on facts gained from previous experience.

    • +3

Similar experience here. Plenty of requests thanks to OzBargain, with only one or two packages actually being received.

Not quite worth a neg, but worth mentioning to the folks who are new around here I guess.

      • +3

I think the neg is warranted under the "Major issues with retailer." which can be found in the OzBargain voting guidelines.

    • Then why don't you neg the previous deal and not this one??

      • +7

Not possible with how OzBargain handles old deals.

    • +1

      I got mine, in a a4 envelope aswell O_O

    • +2

Hmm, I did get the last few scotch and 3m samples posted here though :?

  • +3

    Probably Expired… 1652 clicks

  • +6

I just registered and remembered I sent away for 3M adhesive hangers a while back, but they never came. Data mining fools…

    • Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago…

  • +2

    Thanks!

Edit: Just realized there's been 2500 clicks.. And only 1000 are being given away.. Guess I missed out.

    • You got a point here. But I'll still give it a go..

  • +5

    Just signed up.
If my sample arrives in the next 30 days, then they can have my +1 vote
    Until then….

  • correct. how we know which number we are in? only first 1000…..

    • +3

At 3100 clicks (and that's just ozbargain clicks) you're wasting your time now.

  • +2

I love it when all my details are on auto complete from previous freebies. Don't have to bother typing it all up again.

  • +3

Never received last ones, wouldn't bother again

  • +2

"By completing the form, each individual consents to the information they submit being entered into a database so that the individual may participate in the promotion. 3M may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and to provide you with product and promotional updates without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the individual, including sending electronic messages. All personal details of the individuals provided by completing the survey will be stored at the office of 3M"

Most ozbargainers would know the drill but for any of the newbies out there make sure you understand why they are giving you a "free sample".

    • It would be to the effect of "Andy from Adelaide says he works better in [X]"

  • +2

4378 clicks…….buckleys chance of still being available!

    • Who's Buckley? That the guy that got ate by the crocodile? At that click count I won't bother either, enough spam already.

        • +3

Oh I thought you were referring to Nathan Buckley. You know the guy who inherited a premiership winning top 4 team and somehow turned them in to one that sits outside the top 8 (11th) only 1 place above the Gold Coast Suns.

As in 'Buckleys' chance of winning the flag.

  • +2

Just applied, I eagerly await my empty envelope.

    • +1

Lol not only that you can eagerly await your next 3M spam in your email

      • Yahoo is happily free and unlimited. Makes the deal even sweeter when their email 'harvesting' is a no go and will never be read or cursed!

  • I put in all details but come up with error page. Very Strange!

  • 9190 ozbargin clicks…what is happening.~

  • I don't quite understand why people keep clicking on a deal that says "first 1000 only" and already has 10,000 clicks. Anyway… nice deal.

  • 404 now. I'd suggest it's not only expired, but exhausted the poor marketing team.

  • Using a range of different printed roller blinds medium to advertise business and products in retail shop and office windows. Currently no one seems to be utilizing the vast amount of window space along busy and prominent road around Australia to advertise.

  • +1

    Also never got this.
