DSE 2.4GHz Wireless Headphones $24.99

10

1) DSE have advertised "50% off the marked price of Dick Smith headphones".
2) They also have advertised "Save $10 - $49.98" for the 2.4GHz wireless headphones.
3) Put on your OzBargain hat and purchase for $24.99

The sound quality and comfort is quite good, i'm using them now.

This was the last one left at George St, Sydney (near Market St), so raid other stores!

  • I think that is price error… $49.98 is already 50% off price, the store rep marked down extra 50% with the scanned price by mistake down to $24.99.

  • can't see wheres the deal for 50% off headphones? is it your store only?

ed: ^yeah above comment makes more sense

  • Does this one will be another no stock or price error ? like this one : http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/105134

    • The price is right… it is system error showing wrong stock level, called DSE customer service and they confirmed there are only 3 left in whole Australia, but the system shows stock available in stores already sold out ages ago.

      • That's what I thought - I wouldn't have boasted on OzBargain if I thought it was a one off price mistake :)

So I without realising took one of the last handful in Australia… WIth DSE's extremely low stock on bargains, this is more plausible.

I am still unsure if this deal is advertised in other stores.

It might be worth checking if other stores have the same advertisements and price as above, we all know what DSE is like…

  • This $24.99 in the topic is nothing but a pricing error done by a staff member at that store. The actual real price is $49.98 at 50% off. He's accidentally marked down the proper 50% price of $49.98 by another half. So that receipt of the OP's in the topic would be useless for price matching since that's a pricing error.

    • Shirley an OzMistake.

      • It's an example of an improperly trained staff member a so called techspert who botched up a price. It has to be a pricing error is as if they'd be giving these away at 75% off. The $49.98 price is already 50% off the normal marked price according to the Dick Smith website.

That large ticket saying "50% off the marked price of Dick Smith headphones is just an advertisement saying all the Dick Smith headphones have been marked down by half price" and that price you see saying $49.98 is the already advertised 50% off the marked price. The marked price is some thing like $100. And that save $10 is wrong it should be save $50. You see how both tickets are saying "ADVERTISED" with exactly the same expiry date.

The OP got a bargain any way through a counter pricing error.
