    Re-writable IF you keep them perfectly clean.
    I had too many problems with RW, and just use cheap once-onlys now. Just me?

    Those DVD recordable machines for TVs write so much crap on to the disc. Far better to get a cheap USB TV Tuner and a slightly larger hard disk to do the job.
