Seagate Goflex 1.5TB $30.75 at DSE

This is available click and collect, and as I presume there is less than five stock I'm not listing it as a bargain.
I did a basic check of postcodes and you can click and collect it at Traralong and Sale (postcode 7000).

Warriewood in NSW says low stock but I called the store and they are out of stock.

Just posting it for those who live close to those two stores, I'm pretty sure the 1000km round trip would wreck any potential savings for me to pick it up

  • Hmmm perfect opportunity to price match since it says home delivery if you show it to them on your phone.

    • yeah Office works price matched mine.

  • No stock anywhere in melb cbd

  • Office Works will price match plus take off 5% =$29.31

  • Do Officeworks sell it? I couldn't find it on their website

    • yeah went into store

  • Whilst it's still on the website, it's no longer click and collect, no idea if you can still price match

    • I just went to OW and said DSE have this for $30 on their website, he jumped on one of the demo PC's looked it up and said ok, which was good because the price on them in OW was like $70.

    Just went there. No stock at ow. Was told they were all sold ages ago. Would be a good idea to check stock first before going.

  • I went to DSE Liverpool today and bought a 500GB WD My Passport Essential portable hard drive for $12.94 and a 1TB Seagate FreeAgent Goflex portable hard drive for $17.43. Both USB 3. I didn't post the deal because of very low stocks and other people there looking/holding the drives but if someone would like a copy of the receipt to price match, I can upload it if somebody tells me how on the forums.

    • Go to My Account on the top of the page;
      Click Files in the menu items [profile badges posts comments voted files];
      You will see a button called Upload New File;

      But I myself want to know how to quote others' post when reply.

    I spoke to a staff member in Dicksmith Muswellbrook on Wednesday 05 June 2013 and he confirmed that he will put one aside(Seagate Goflex 1.5TB for $30.75 - item mentioned in this deal) for me. He took my name and phone number and confirmed that he had put one unit aside for me with a sticker of my name and phone number on it. He told me that he will work until 2pm the following day on Thursday 06 June 2013 and I could come and collect it. He was very confident that I will definitely get it. When I got to Muswellbrook DSE store on Thursday 06 June 2013, I spoke to that staff member he said that it was gone. He could not give me any valid reason who sold it or took it. Then he did not offer any apology, ignored me and continued to serve other customers.

    Is it very common with these highly unreliable low stock deals that DSE staff members will hide the stock for themselves, their family members, friends or relatives? No matter what they confirm to the customer over the phone, you are not sure if you will get the item when you arrive at store. Staff members are also very unapologetic. This is very unethical and unprofessional behaviour in any retail business. I tried to contact their customer liaison team on (02) 9642 9587 however phone kept on going to voicemail. I left voicemail message however no one has contacted me. I have also sent them an email, however I do not think that they will respond before a month or may be they will not respond at all. I think that is why DSE members staff in many other stores are able to do it with other customers. It has been confirmed by other customers in many other deals.

    • quite true, I did the same and the guy didnt even put it behind the counter and left it on the shelf……
