Looking for a good prepaid unlimited plan

Hi,

I have just finished 2 year contract with virginmobile on its $90 unlimited plan. I decide to switch to prepaid, and have been looking online for a good plan.

I do make quite a few phone calls and need to have 4 or 5gb of data per month, coz I use the mobile to tethering my laptop for work.

There seem to be be lots of companies who price between $30 to $45 a month,

Do you guys have any recommendations? Lebara, Redbull, Tpg, Vaya. etc…

Which of them is more reliable?

Thanks

I do make quite a few phone calls and need to have 4 or 5gb of data per month

If you don't have the data requirement I might suggest Boost ($40/30 days) who has full access to Telstra's NextG service, although only 3GB data. Otherwise maybe ALDImobile ($35/30 days) with 5GB data.

    • just FYI I was using vodafone postpaid and switched to Boost recently, and all my friends using vodafone can't reached me. I complain to boost about my problem and they said they do not support porting from vodafone. I need to switch to other provider again.

      • what do mean they can't reach you, the number isn't working?

how do they not support porting, what happen to your number while on boost?

        • basically Optus and Telstra numbers call me just fine but not vodafone. I complain to boost but come back to me 1 week later saying they don't support porting from vodafone and didn't do anything. To me this is just bad customer service.

    • Thanks for you reply Scotty. ALDI Mobile seems ok, anyone knows their connection speed? are they a reliable provider?

  • You could try Amaysim's unlimited for $39.90 per month.
You get unlimited standard talk & text and calls to 13 & 18 numbers with 4GB data.

    • isn't aldi one cheaper at $35 and more data?

  • I recently switched to Redbull…$365 for 15mmths unlimited with I think 5Gb of data?
Absolutely trouble-free and great that i don't have to worry about another bill for another year or so!

Bonus is i've never had to wait for more than 1min when on the phone to them for help.

  • I am surprised nobody has mentioned K ogan which seems to be the lowest price around (sub $30pm) for unlimited everything with above 5GB data and no contract, using the Telstra 3G (not NextG or 4G) network. AldiMobile is essentially a very similar service, using same network coverage, just a different price point. Redbull uses the Voda network and works out to be a couple dollars less per month but 1GB less of data each month.

Anyone had any issues with the above mentioned?

There are a couple restrictions though like 400MB max download per day (be careful with tethering). Gone are the days of mobile contracts! About time.

    • I have seen a lot of bad comments on their service…
