How can I sort the Top 100 free e-book list by category before I buy?
I only interested in a few category.

Edit: One in-direct way is to see what other people bought under "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" but that most likely not sorting within the Top 100 list.

  I think we cannot find Top 100 free e-book by category directly.
  Alternative way is
  Kindle > Select the category say art and photography > price low to high > Top rated

I noticed, though, that many of the reviews for these books are clearly from paid shills: Maybe they're just making them free so that the minions can be "verified buyers"?

  It will be available on cloud reader (and "Manage your kindle" page on Amazon) as soon as you click to buy. You can download it to Kindle for PC any time after that, or read it the kindle cloud service, or download to the Kindle app on your Android phones/tablets - As long as kindle on those devices are all registered with the same username. You can also convert with Calibre if you want to read on other devices that don't support Amazon's format, eg Kobo.
