You buy herschel more for the style rather than the quality lol. I have a pop quiz, and its held up fine. But fairly light usage. I dont stuff it full of textbooks and stuff.

Exactly! The 'kids' just love this brand, and it is durable enough for students to carry their stuff, and/or for the occasional 'stay over'. I am sure that it is not meant for campers/backpackers etc.
I guess it's not for me then. My last bag lasted 5 years with daily use.

US$55 is about AU$61 so AU$1 difference. I buy from UrbanOutfitters when they have discounts, but they won't send many brands to Australia (Vans for example). They have free delivery to Australia sometimes. I remember that they wanted US$40 delivery for a Herschel backpack by Standard shipping a while ago.

Yes, Herschel should be OK for delivery to Australia. I just don't like the fact that UO refuse to deliver Vans etc. to Australia.
However, is it really worth the wait, and the risk of free economy delivery from the USA, to save AU$1? Especially when one can get it with free delivery from a 'local' Australian store?
