Size C and D batteries?

Where is the cheapest to get these if I need to buy them on a regular basis? Thanks.

you dont want the cheapest, otherwise you will be replacing these all the time.

Check out at Costco in Auburn, they have brand name battery at a very competitive price but you have to buy in bulk.

$60 per year membership, but if you shop there often you certainly gets your $60 dollars back in no time.

I opted to change over to a good charger and rechargeable batteries (we use aa and aaa's the most but have a good supply of c batteries as well as some D and 9V's now.) After about 6 months I am fairly sure that we ended up breaking even (considering the higher cost of the batteries and charger) but now we are laughing. Have been using the same charger for the past 3 years now and have amassed enough batteries to always have some on hand for new toys/gadgets. For the aa and aaa's I went with LSD (low self discharge) batteries so that I didn't need to keep charging them. Charge them once then put them aside and even a few months later they have a good charge.

    Worth their weight in gold!

We went with (after a lot of ozbargain research) an Ansmann energy 8 plus, shipped from Amazon in the states (it works on both 110v and 240v). The good thing is that it has 8 individual charging circuits (so you can charge one battery at a time if needed) plus it reconditions the batteries and charges them gently but fast.

We went with Hobby King for our LSD batteries

  • Forgot to mention where I buy my rechargable C, D and 9V batteries from.
http://stores.ebay.com.au/batterymax I have always had good results buying the green power plus batteries they seem to be true to their listed capacity and last the distance.

  • I use cheap C and D adaptors (from ebay/amazon) with eneloop AA rechargables for the kids toys. Works fine for me.
