Hi,

My name is Leigh, I work for Why Wait Australia and this is my second post on OzBargains. We have a toy sale on at the moment, where all the item are at cost price or under cost price.

I have listed two of the best deals:

The first deal is a 60pc Cars Art Supply Set - http://www.whywaitaustralia.com/disney-81/60pc-cars-art-supp… as you can see we are selling this item for $8.92.
Top Buy is selling the same item for $28.00 http://www1.topbuy.com.au/60pc-cars-art-supply-set.html and Amazons best price is $12.00.

The second deals is Disney Perfect Princess Board Game Book with 5 GAMES & Light-up Digital Dice - http://www.whywaitaustralia.com/disney-81/Games-179/disney-p… at $8.69. Quicksales is selling the same item for a huge $28.69 http://www.quicksales.com.au/ad/15836390 and ebays best price is $12.99 http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Disney-Perfect-Princess-Board-Ga…

And for all of the savvy shoppers that use Google Cache, we have changed the price of the items on our website many times. So when you see Drawing on glass with Mickey. $ .97. Was $3.87. Google Cache says it was selling for $1.74, one and a half weeks ago. Please do not be upset it was $3.87 when we first listed the products.

All items are held at our Warehouse in NSW and will be shipped the next day from ordering. We also have a $9.99 flat rate shipping fee.

If you have a shop and what to buy a lot please let me know.

Thank you

Leigh

  • The first deal is a 60pc Cars Art Supply Set

why do you say on your website that this item was $32.99, when your normal price was only $13.49 for the last few months.

Are you trying to trick customers into thinking the discount is greater than it really is? That is really misleading and deceptive.

Also, graysonline claim RRP $29.95, and they are selling it for $17, and $12 on amazon.

      Hi Jv

Thank you for your comment i do understand that there would be customers that would use Google Chache, so i did add that in the Listing. We have changed the price of the Disney stock over last 12 months, and over time the RRP of goods change i did not have the time to look at all of RRP but i can tell you that all the prices that are on there at the moment are the cheapest they have ever been.

I also did look to see what the best price of the goods are in Australia, and did add in the listing that amazon has the item for sale at $12.

So saying that it is misleading and deceptive, really holds no merit.
I do talk to the moderators before listing a deal to make sure i am 100% a good deal. And would not post on here if i thought that i was not.

      Thank you

      Leigh

      • It is illegal to compare to the RRP when you do not normally sell at the RRP…

    • Are you trying to trick customers into thinking the discount is greater than it really is? That is really misleading and deceptive.

Are you new to advertising? Everyone does that.

      • Everyone does that.

It's against the law to do that…

        http://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing/displaying-prices

Statements such as 'Was $150/Now $100' or '$150 Now $100' are likely to be misleading if the specified 'Was' or 'strike through' prices are inflated beyond what those goods would have been purchased for during a reasonable period immediately before the commencement of the sale.

This item has been selling for $13.49 for 3 months, they weren't selling it for $33, so the advertising is deceptive and misleading.
