    Just tried with
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/109233

    3 x $17.99= $53.97

Still have to pay for shipping $9.95
Although I did not go through payment process.

You need to proceed through to payment and put in an australian address for free delivery. If you didnt put in the address of course the shipping fee is still there.

      • I was going to order an iPad keyboard online yesterday, in the cart under the item it said free shipping. Put in my postcode, still said $4.95, so I picked it up from my local instead.

      • i tried that still quoted delivery fee.

        • True,me too
          Delivery $9.95

I said proceed with the order and put in a full australian address to get free shipping, just putting in your post code and quote for delivery fee then they still quote the normal delivery fee.

        • yes still quoting a delivery fee after doing what you say. basically it gives the fee right up to and including the final screen on checkout (submit payment). did you get it to work for you?

  • This deal didn't start today.

Dick Smith's online support is pathetic. They ignore emails.

I ordered something from them which they never delivered. Asked for a refund. Still waiting. Its now 5 weeks.

Don't order online from Dick Smith!

Agree, it's like they don't care

    • I agree too. JB is much better.

    heads up folks..
I was chasing undelivered item with DSE yesterday.
They advised that they have problems at the moment and said that their Paypal payment option has been removed for the moment. They couldn't give me a job/problem number , no way to properly track / document my complaint ! Unanswered emails resulted in me having to ring them. They did pomise to call back over the weekend and advised they had put on extra staff to handle thier issues.

    • I've been waiting for 5 weeks.
When I rang them a couple of weeks ago did get thru, but they didn't do what they said they would do.
Tried to ring them yesterday. Didn't get through. No response to emails. They are pathetic.

      (I used to like DS!)

  • This is what cost cutting does to a business. They're so focused on trying to make a dollar for the equity group that customers are no longer important

But before they were also losing money.

      • But thats no excuse. If they don't care about their customers they are not going to survive in the long term. We too have had problems getting a refund for undelivered items. It took us to go to our CC company for a chargeback before we got anything back. Stupidly, we are in the same situation again when I tried to buy some cheap Wii items. :/

      • i'd say they'd be losing more money now with this level of customer "service"

  • i personally wouldn't be buying anything from their website until they fix their order system and reinstate paypal as a payment method.
