4 - 6.7Things like this are always subjective but from what I recall, some explain the low score because the fourth was too different; especially the camera work and it no longer starred Matt Damon.
Anyway, I haven't actually seen the fourth so take that with a grain of salt.
It was the poor acting that done it for me. That Hawkeye guy is not leading actor material in my opinion.

No. Viewed objectively the forth was a great film, like any franchise, you'll get purists that will repel any tampering with the formula.

I quite enjoyed the 4th movie. Matt Damon is a brilliant actor, but "hawkeye guy" is also pretty good.
I agree, I reckon if the fourth film weren't called a Bourne movie it would be received much better, very weak connections to the original trilogy.
Wouldn't have paid to see it at the cinema, but as a $1 weekly I didn't mind the fourth; it was a decent bit of fluff. The motorcycle chase at the end was pretty epic.
The first 3 was brilliant but the last was just poo.

Funny you should say that, because I hated the new Bourne with Matt Damon, and much preferred the old one with Richard Chamberlain, I believe it was truer to the book as well.
Thanks OP. Just bought one. I missed having Matt Damon in the 4th movie but I would still like to have it in my collection. I would still rate it at about 7 out of 10.
