  • But I'm a man, I didn't wear a dress.

  • No point. People will just sell them on ebay or gumtree. Ebay has the audience and search results in the engines best to quit now unless you've got thousands to spend in TV and radio advertising. Sorry to be blunt but save yourself some pain.

If everyone had this logic nothing would get off the ground

      • So is this site to get bargains or a charity to help pointless business models?

Who who be stupid enough to pay a $20 listing fee to a website no one visits or knows about.

It has 195 clicks at the time of writing this comment so good free advertising for the website.

      • there are already more established sites though like still white etc.. which would receive more traffic. Its like listing your car on drive instead of carsales.

Can someone explain to me why you would want a second hand dress? I mean surely you would want to keep it…unless you've been through so many marriages that you have spares…

Depending on the dress, they can cost thousands!!!
I had a second hand dress - which I paid a couple of hundred for, and would have cost at least a couple of thousand new.
It's sitting in a box at the top of the cupboard as I haven't wanted to get rid of it, for sentimental reasons. I don't really expect my daughters to want to use it, so it's not like I'm keeping it for them - I'm just not practical!

Someone less hoarding and more practical than me would probably get it dry cleaned and manage to sell it for close to what they paid.

Not everyone wants to blow tens of thousands on a wedding which is just for one day. If you are on a budget the wedding dress is one if the biggest expenses for something you are never likely to wear again. Actually if you were going through many marriages you might get more wear out of your dress :p

Whether you want to or not is irrelevant… You have to sometimes…

If you are an avid ozbargainer, and the girl you are marrying HAS to spend tens of thousands on their wedding (and you don't want to) I would be thinking long and hard if it's going to last…
Of course if you're both ok with it thats another thing

What's the point of offering a free listing? There aren't going to be too many repeat customers.

It's more a way of cheap advertising… Like those guys who give away a limited number of app codes free.

"My wife and I both get our wedding dresses from there …."

You must have some odd wedding photos. Which of you had the prettier dress?

Hey can we sell second hand brides through this site also? Happy to pay the $20 for this service

    • You have to paid much much more for your own decision.

If i play my 'Cardz' right, only $20 to service your second hand bride….sounds like a good deal.

  • Why don't they want first-hand dresses? I'd have thought that that would be a more significant source for dresses than buying from people who own second-hand dresses. Unless they mean "used" or "pre-owned".
