Saw this promo a while back, but from my understanding, it needs to be a US handset registered on HTC USA

      it works for AU handsets.

  • I did this with my Australia bought HTC One. I got the credit and tried to use a guide on how to use google play credit outside the US with new accounts and VPN's but it didn't work. I just got suspicious activity type errors.

  • This deal was good and i received the $50 voucher: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/109183
Guess we will try this one aswell and see if we can make it another $25 voucher and bring the total to $75 google play vouchers.

I tried this a while back for my HTC One. Ended up getting an error saying "Code is not valid in your region".

So yes, they will still register your Australian HTC One serial number, but the redeem code won't work when you plug it in Google Play Store.

  • I registered, will see how it goes. I have a UK issued device though

  • Used the exact page a month ago for my JB Hifi bought, unbranded HTC One. Never got sent anything either.

  • Saw a promo of getting $50 Google credit for buying Galaxy S4 4G

That's the same deal as Telstra HTC Ones (and even other AU HTC Ones, as long as you have a Telstra post paid number)
