Becks Beer (Fully Imported) - $38.90 Per Case @ Dan Murphy

150

I went in to get the Corona deal posted a few days ago, but walked out with a case of this instead.

Those in the know rate this as a better beer than Corona (I like both), and bear in mind that this is the fully imported version which is supposedly far superior to the locally brewed licenced version.

Good price for pick up, delivery is also reasonable at $7 for metro areas.

Best before date on the slab I got was January 2014, which is academic really!

Becks is a fantastic German beer with heaps of flavor. Its twice the beer compared to Corona

      beer does not go 'off'

      • beer does not go 'off'

The flavour can change. You know… continued fermentation. For some beers this is a desired outcome for a prefered taste!

I was going to pot you for your inability to finish a slab in 6 months, but then I realised the beer in question was Becks. I have been to Germany, sampled many of their fine and not-so-fine beers, and would never pay money for something roughly imported like Becks over a similarly priced (dan murphys special) Aussie Macro like Coopers.

      • Very patriotic of you to only drink Australian beers. For the majority of mankind travelling to Germany to drink German beer is an unrealistic approach. Imported must suffice, or miss out all together.

You say fully imported… can you check what country… A number of brewers/sellers are getting cheeky and importing from the likes of NZ and calling them imported… Yes they are imported but not from the right bloody country… Please advise

    • Just checked, made in Bremen, Germany.

  • Also…the 24 Cans are $57.99 which per litre work out cheaper. A $4.83 per litre vs $4.91 for the deal above.. You also get to enjoy 12 Litres of becks versus 7.9 litres for only 1 trip to dan murphys.. :)

I prefer to drink beer out of a bottle, especially when it's the good stuff.

  • Just picked up the deal. It's a 'restaurant' box so they're not in separate packs of 6 inside the box.
