The boost prepaid recharge is really worth $20, that is what DSE is selling it for here http://search.dicksmith.com.au/search#w=Boost%20%2440%20

Is the phone really worth $80 for the specs or should i invest a bit more money on another android phone?

    • I'm making due with the sony xperia play I got from target awhile ago for $100
(similar specs single core 1ghz 512mb ram (higher res screen) I'd say its an okay phone once I put Jellybean on it. If your going to use it as a phone and for texting and phone nothing else outside of taking horrible 3.2mp pictures fine but if you want to occasionally browse the web or consider any gaming I'd go for something at least dual core and the more ram the better! maybe you could find a phone retailer that has one on demo so you can take a look at how it runs?

but looking at my single core phone and then trying to run any browser outside of Opera mini or stock (chrome)
those newer phones just smoke mine also the amount of time to bring up non stock keyboards is also something to take into account.

This is not a dual SIM smartphone.

Sony Xperia E is only single SIM.

You are thinking of the Sony Xperia E Dual =P

    • This phone has same sort of specs as a Huawei Y201 that Coles does regularly on special for $39 (3.5" 320x480, single core, ICS). Another poster said is doesn't have dual-sim so no worthwhile features.

Better off getting a $99 Vodafone Huawei G300+ @Target/DSE (single-core, ICS, 850/900/2100Mhz bands) or $129 Telstra Huawei Y300 (dual-core, Jellybean). Both have far more usable 4" 800x480 LCDs. 'bagman' on here can unlock them for ~$6.

  • Network locked? If so, how much to unlock?
