  • 6" phones…..why not get the 7" tablet that has phone capability and get it over and done with….heehhee

    • but then you cant call it a phone

    • +3

because these can fit in your pocket and the 7" tablets have massive bezels as well which make it impossible

    • I used this 7" Galaxy Tab as a phone for about a year.

I always had to wear my headset 'cause I'm constantly driving and listening to podcasts & audiobooks when not answering calls. If you didn't have the headset you had to use speakerphone, but that rarely happened.

Worked fine. Fit in my pockets. If I didn't have an S4, I'd consider a 6" phone. I strongly considered the Note II. It means you only need one, no need for a tablet and a phone. I miss it.

Addendum: I still have it and use it as a tablet. It's just a bit slow, low res, mediocre camera etc. compared to the S4.

      • how big were your pockets?

I wear jeans most of the time, and as far as I know there aren't any front pockets for jeans that can fit that.
by all means if you are comfortable with it I'm not complaining, just saying I wouldn't. :)

        • Yeah, I'm not a jeans wearer.

Just regular 34" trousers and shorts with large pockets.

        • -4

that's my size and there's only room for one thing larger than 7" in my pants and that's 'me'

        • Believable.

          cough

        • take it easy ppl, and 7" is the average, look it up

  • +3

1gb of ram is a killer for multi tasking and general fluidity.

  • Isnt this the normal price?

its been around this point for a while otherwise.

  • at 6" it can still fit in the pocket and be an all-in-one : phone, tablet, eBook reader.
    sounds like a good idea

waiting for the price to drop to $350
    (not long now)

  • yea 1gb is pretty crap for today's standard. get the overseas model with 2gb ram. huawei did a noob job by selling 1gb down here.

    • May I ask where from?

  • Bought one yesterday… Took it back today. screen dead on arrival. Second one tested in store and works perfect. Looks like an awesome device so far. So much better in quality than the last Huawei phone i owned.

And i have the 7" tab, but like what was said earlier. This feels like a big phone, not a small tablet. It isnt as bezel-riffic as my Nexus tab. I want the phone for work for making notes and showing customers stuff. The tablet is good for this as well, but it just doenst feel as useful as this does :)

  • Price dropped to $388 by Harvey norman. Thou isn't the i9305 S3 4G at times found near to ?AU420. Whilst Samsung bring with it stronger brand power in general, a galaxy s3 might seem to honor 100 percent more RAM(2 GB) 26 percent higher DPI density(306) and also receive LTE. Presumably a slimmer form factor would claw back power IRT 720p - which may seem somwhat fitting to the 4.8"-size 'Super AMOLED.
