Robo Fish - 1 Robo Fish + Tank + 2 Extra Batteries + Decorations = $10 @ Woolworths

50

NOTE THIS IS AN IN-STORE DEAL ONLY.

I BELIEVE IT IS NATION WIDE.

Woolworths are selling the Robo Fish pack that contains:

  • A fish bowl
  • a robo fish
  • some in tank decorations
  • 2 spare batteries

For $10.

Was $20 previously. Similar pack is $27.20 at Target (Target pack has a scoop and 4 more batteries).

Similar pack with 2 fish is $30 at Big W

I don't know if this toy is any good, but intended to get one for my kids as I am not allowed to have pets in my unit. I suspect the battery life on the fish blows.

Saw it yesterday, came back to Carlingford NSW store to buy today but all sold out…

Fish cost $10 each so you are getting the bowl, extra batteries and decorations free which is a good deal…

  • I was so excited to see the word fish because I was very near Woolies and I was hungry and wouldn't mind cheap fish… And got so disappointed when it was robotic.

But in any case, it's still a cheap fish. Nice find. +1

      Don't knock it till you've tried it…

    Did you get a pic?

Sorry no - I have an old school phone with a battery that lasts more than a day. I never carry my phone with me anyway :)

See the pix in the Big W and Target links…

Part machine, part fish, all cop. The future of marine law enforcement. RoboCod.

  • Only the carlingford store?

  • Is the robot waterproof?

    • It should be given it is a robotic fish. It runs off 2 watch batteries and turns on when placed in water.

Given it is designed to run in water you'd hope it is waterproof. I'd make sure you have sealed the battery compartment properly….

What happens when you release these into the local pond?

    Keep your receipts…

We've had a few and they stop working after a few weeks, and no, it wasn't the batteries…

    • Got one and still works ok, but the batteries don't last very long.

  • Feed it to your tamagochi.

  • I have one of these, looks real from far away. My daughter was excited and treats it like real.

  • Ive tried these in my tropical tank..
My silver dollar fish were not fooled and didn't try to attack them unfortunately.
The robo fish kept getting stuck in corners or in between the filter and side OR
    in the hosing.
Every 10 mins I was freeing them and gave up after a hour.

Not worth $10 to me after my experience…

    • Yeh, they really need a round bowl with no obstructions.. they are a toy after all.

  • Can I use the tank for a real fish?

  • Make great bath toys BTW… we don't bother with the bowl as such. We had one die due to leaky battery compartment, but 2 others still working fine. Given most places sell the fish by themselves for $10-$12 this is not a bad deal, but the "tank" is just a big plastic bowl.
