Free open air-studio style Photo Booth service for 1 hour

Guys, i am starting up a photo booth business recently, and wishes to take some photos as for my portfolio on my facebook page and website.

i am happy to provide a free 1 hour service of the open air photobooth during the weekend or weekday after 7pm
For this kind of service, usually it cost at least $500+ for 3 hour service.

You do not need to pay me anything for 1 hour service. What you need to pay is just your electricity bill for my studio light and provide me the space to set up this open air studio style photo booth. If you do need more than 1 hour, i will charge the next hour reasonably just to cover my petrol and bit of my time…

Happy to travel to any address within melbourne eastern suburbs, or melbourne city.

suitable for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties etc….

I had heaps of props as well to accompany the shoots. Can provide you a hi res photos.

The minimum requirement is that it has to be at least 10 people for me to do this, and need a space of at least 3m x 3m
and i need to use your electricity (without any charges to me) for the studio light which i am bringing with me.

If anyone interested, just private message me.

Thank you

PS: This deal expired by mid September

Not for a start up with no history and experience.

What exactly do you get with this? Who retains copyright on the images?

    • Thank Bruce for the comments :

I am a freelancer portrait photographer for 3 years, and I believe I am good enough to start the business as i put confidence on myself.

The client can own the photos in hi res and print as much as they want. I will provide a hi res photos in a DVD data disc for the client. What i want to get in return, is that i have the right to share my work in my website and social site such as facebook.

I believe this is an usual way for most photographers to start up the business, from friends to families, or strangers for free.

      • I understand this is standard but you didn't provide any such description. You also still didn't answer the question on copyright, so I assume you will.

        • My client can have whatever copyright on the photos. I am easy going, and will not provide some hidden cost or whatever. All i asked in return is that I just need a special right to include the photos on my webpage and social site for current and future promotional/portfolios purposes.

I assume on my previous statement, when i offer a hi res photos for client and allow them to print as much as they want, this has been simplify that they have the copyright to print and use it for personal use, but NOT for commercial use. :)

This would be you retaining copyright and licencing to the client to allow prints. Just so you are aware and don't mistakenly say 'My client can have whatever copyright on the photos'.

It is probably worth understanding how this works if you are getting into the business. Note that unless the client specifically signs over copyright they will have it by default.

        • +1

          Thank you :)

        • How come the client would have the copyright by default?

        • dupe comment.

        • Because that is what the law says?
