Was in JB Hifi to pre-order GTA for $89, but the Collectors Edition was only $169. Same packs are selling for $480 on eBay!

JB site says unavailable, but call your local store. This is for Pre-Order, Release: September 17th

    I have a friend who would be rather keen to get a Collector's Edition, which store was this and did they mention anything about limited stock?

      It is limited, I guess it depends per store, he did mention. "Did you want the collectors edition, it's been reduced from $199 if we have any left?".

      Ring around, stores should still have stock. The store I pre-ordered was at Blacktown.

      agree. though I loved the Bioshock collectors edition, great collectible figurine and I bought it from GAME on release day for I believe $79

        Yep 100%. I love me some collector editions but find that I'm am mostly disappointed with some cheap plastic crap model and a tiny art book that falls apart - except for BioShock, that one was mind blowing.

    I think Collector's editions are a croc too, but each to their own I guess. I might suggest waiting to see what OzGameshop and PlayAsia price them at though (they're both still listed as awaiting pricing information).

      I usually wait and grab the "Limited Edition" sets for less than the regular edition. I bought 6 of the LE sets for IV for around $40 each a couple of months after release and fleabayed them for a tidy profit a few years back.

    If anyone is interested, I have a Pre-Order for PS3 Collectors Edition at JB Hi-Fi Brighton (VIC) I no longer want, It has $99 put on it already.

    I will be going to the Midnight launch and offer it to anyone who wants to upgrade to PS3 Collectors, preference to whoever was waiting in line the longest. They would have to pay me back the $99 of course, I am happy to go to the counter with them so they know it's legit.

    If I don't find any takers, I'm sure JB Hi-Fi would refund it and wouldn't have any trouble finding a taker.

    Offer seems to have expired. Best waiting for the ps4/xbone version anyway.

    The ps3 version will run at 640p at an average 25fps while the 360 will manage 720p with the same sh!tty frame rates.

    The gta5 screenshots and video are not what you are getting when you buy this on ps3/360.

        Again, no release confirmation. Yeah, it'll come to PC but I guess that MS/Sony have a deal to not confirm a PC release until after the console versions have sold well.

    Collectors editions are a waste of money if you're buying it for the novelties… those hats/figurines are so cheaply made. Only time I'll buy CE's are for the digital content.

      I was pretty impressed with the collectors edition of Crysis 1, came with so much stuff. All the dev drawings and extra disks (soundtracks etc) was well worth the $120 at the time.

      $170 is pushing it a bit imo.
