    • I called the store and confirmed, their pizza's have have won Darwin Awards last 3 years running…

      • +2

The awards we have won are multiple Dairy Farmers Best Of The Best pizza awards. We won awards for our Eureka, Classico and Quattro Formaggio pizzas. We would have entered and won more but the competition is now unfortunately defunct. The awards were the last pizza making competitions in Melbourne known to us. Because of this we havnt been able to enter any more competitions in recent times. Our pizzeria is located in South Yarra and we use premium quality ingredients in all our recipes so we believe all items are very reasonably priced and better value than nearby competitors. Obviously we are not at everyones price point so for you JV the number for Dominos is 1300 366 466 enjoy.

        • Is the Urbanspoon 90% rated Ashburton Dominos the nearest to the Urbanspoon 75% rated Versachis? If so good recommendation O.P. ta.

They obviously know you jv??? ;)

  • Hey Rep, The 2 Pizzas, are they medium or Large?

    • we only serve the 1 size pizza in the restaurant which is a medium. 6 good slices.

      • -1

They look tiny, what size are they? 6", 8" ???

      • Well your website says Medium and Large. May be your website is misleading..
        http://versachis.com.au/index.php/menu/pizza/gourmet-pizza.h…

anyways.. then you dont save $30 coz your medium pizzas are $18.50 each that is $37 + max $15 for 2 Peronis = 52-35 = savings of just $17.

Ofcourse this wont be the case if you are selling 1 peroni for $14 (which is insane price)

        • Once again the deal is for DINE IN customers only. In our restaurant we only serve medium pizzas which are 11". Our Pecatore pizzas are $22.50

        • +1

          Our Pecatore pizzas are $22.50

That said, at a $65 value, this means that you're charging $10 for either a Peroni, Red/White Wine, or a Soft Drink! I won't say any more!

        • At resteraunt prices I would expect imported beers to be around $10 so yes it is a maximum saving as listed.

        • Maybe out your way, but most standard imported beers (like Peroni) at pretty much every restaurant on the east coast I've ever been to are $6 - $8 tops! Others below have said he same thing!
$35 is good value… $65 and I'd keep walking to the next pizza restaurant!

SEP 01, 2013. We popped in here for a quick dinner last night and I seriously wished we hadn't. Terrible service - we waited 25mins just to order drinks, then had food delivered three times to our table that wasn't ours. The food was less than ordinary, especially the overcooked and mushy pasta AND it's outrageously expensive for not only the quality and the serving size. My advice is to go somewhere else people.

I purchased a voucher from an online meal deal company for this restaurant and every time I went to make a booking they quizzed me if I had a voucher or not. It turns out that they will only give a limited number of seats to people that hold a voucher. I was very frustrated with their attitude and their prejudice against people holding a meal voucher. I can only hope that when I do actually get a seat, the food is worth the hard time they gave me.

Hey Rep.. U naughty naughty boy.. You should not differentiate between normal customers and voucher holders.

This means this people with this vouchers will face the same problem.

    • Yeah, I've had a few restaurants doing this of recent… They'll put out a Scoopon or similar, then only allow a couple of bookings per night, only accept bookings on certain nights (even though it's not stated as part of the deal), allow you to buy multiple vouchers and then only allow one voucher per table, or like what one restaurant in Melbourne did and not answer the phone for the last two weeks of the vouchers validity!!!
I’m not saying that this place is that bad… But it happens a lot in that industry!!!

Not sure why every is so down on it - Peronis are usually $6-7 ea, so $12-14 for the beers, leaves $21-23 for two gourmet looking pizzas in a restaurant. Most Italian restaurants charge $14-18 per pizza dine in. I reckon an ozbargain special (free gelato if you mention ozbargain) would get people excited.

    • I'm personally not down on the offer. $35 is probably under what you'd expect for a single serve pizza and imported beer… But I think a lot are querying the 'claimed' value of the deal as well as any potential issues with booking it!
      Edit: Hence, you're $18 per pizza (max) & $7 Peroni x 2 should be about $50!
and if someone gets the soft drink… Then you deserve to get fleeced!!!

an idiot. Yes I know. It's actually the second time I've done that today!

I agree. Just accept the offer for what it is.

It's sad how some people get a kick out of harrassing vendors.

      • mate.. no one is gettin a kick out of the rep.. He is making wrong claims in turn misleading consumers.. Thats it.

What makes a pizza "gourmet"? You put the word gourmet in front of anything then you can justify it by putting the price up 300%?

I'm thinking things like Prosciutto (not diced ham), Tomato slices (not paste), Gorgonzola (not cheddar), things like that!
I’ve had some sensational pizzas at different places around town (and the world), and realistically, you’re going to pay a bit more than the $7.95 your local guy charges!

    • Maybe stick to your dominos pizzas and your taste buds will never find out, keeping your wallet happy in the process.

  • Tis good pizza, can vouch as I eat here quite often.

    • Same here. Been there a couple of times and the pizzas were pretty good. Would recommend. Not so sure about the pasta though.
