lol ohh Lenovo, this deal won't get much <3 even if it isn't direct from Lenovo themselves

    • +3

Is this a lemon or a sour grape edition?

      • +2

It's not from Lenovo. It's from Notebooks R Us. Looks like I am out of the loop on their stuff ups!

        • +2

Yeah but the problem is that an issue with the laptop, such as warranty, might involve dealing with Lenovo and having Lenovo refuse to deal with the customer.

        • even though it's not direct from Lenovo it is still supporting Lenovo by being stocked by Notebooks R Us so those people who are really upset by Lenovo would probably buy a different brand if you have a great special for something else

for me personally i find Lenovo style a bit outdated or if word nicer 'classic', i'm not upset about that price error issue from other day

        • +4

if you make a warranty claim with them, they will just keep sending you automated responses that ignore your questions…

Very unprofessional company to have to deal with…

        • +2

It' just a case of bad timing.
The counter for your post says it all:
As it stands, 0-0, or not-loved for Lenovo.

        • +2

Given LENOVO is the no. 2 in PC industry, their customer service and PR is probably no. 200.

        • +1

Actually that would be "love all" ;)

        • And they would be playing Tennis with your order and support request.

  • Here we go again………

  • +12

    too soon… too soon….

  • +10

What use is a 3 year warranty with Lenovo when Lenovo send out cancellations without request and refuse to answer emails? :p

  • +15

Sorry cant afford it, My Moneys still siting in Lameovo's Account.

  • +12

Just ignore anything to do with Lenovo. Once biten, twice shy.

  • -1

It's so odd that everyone is bad mouthing lenovo yet everyone intended to be a Lenovo owner by putting in an order.
Mistake aside, they have very good laptops - many others on here might want to buy one but the second a deal is posted everyone's all over it.
    sour….grapes….is not a good look.

    • +7

      … do you blame them??
They were only ordering Lenovo because that deal was insanely cheap.
At regular prices the other brands beat them hands down especially with after sales service.

Cant see anything special about this offer for $1300.. it is spam.
This site is for bargains not free advertising.

      • +1

With the previous Lenovo offer it was obvious pricing error.
Upgrading to HD display & the price goes down by $176 how could it be anything else?
BTW I was part of the last deal & in MY case Lenovo acted very professionally, but obviously some people got the wrong automated message & got very upset about it.
I ended up getting what I wanted for not much less then after pricing error after call from the sales rep.
Sometimes it pays to chill out.

        • It wasn't an obvious error to Lenovo staff - they were claiming it was a "deal".
A number of people actually checked with Lenovo before purchase and Lenovo were busy telling people it was NOT an error and saying give me your money…

        • I reckon that was the biggest stuff up on their part.
You can understand if you got an wrong automated email, but when you calling a sales rep you'd think they know what their pricing is…

    • +4

I wouldn't call it "sour grapes", I would call it "learning from experience"…

People like myself were intending to buy from Lenovo because they assumed them to be a reputable company. Even if their Laptops are ok, what many people have found is that their pre and after sales service is abysmal.

The purchase process doesn't just involve the item itself, it often involves dealing with the company that made the product (eg for warranty). Lenovo have proven to me and many others that they are NOT a company worth dealing with.

As I said above : What use is a 3 year warranty with Lenovo if they ignore their customers by refusing to answer emails?

    • +2

Them Grapes would've had a much more pleasant after taste, If the whole situation was handled professionally, Which is what most consumers expect when they handover there hard earned to a Multimillion $ company, me thinks.

  • +1

no more Lenovo, unless there are something real bargain and will not been price errored.

  • No more NOLOVE(LENOVO). I still have not got my refund yet. JEEZ!

I spilt tequila on my T400 a few days ago. Im using that laptop now.

Thinkpads are the best laptops available.

  • +2

Way too expensive for the specs

    • regardless of all else, this ^

You could get a laptop with these specs for under a grand without trying. We recently bought a Toshiba, with very similar specs, for the old boy and it was only $750. (and he'll never have to deal with Lenovo's laughable warranty service)

  • My wound is is still fresh and my bank balance is still pending refund! No love left from me. I was a a loyal customer for years and now the time has come jump ship! This is how Lenovo reward their customers!
