I needed something to play the upcoming Star Citizen and this is an awesome card that punches above it's weight/cost. Cheapest on StaticIce for this edition of the card is $312 + $19 shipping to Sydney. This is one of the fastest 760s out there and previously the slower stock card went for $280 + shipping - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/112005 (Stock card on StaticIce currently starts at $285 + shipping)

Shipping is capped at $9 wherever you are for Registered Post or Sydney local express. Free pickup.

The copy of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist is part of an Asus promotion: http://event.asus.com/au/vga/2013/gtx700/

Rest in peace knowing that you were a hallmark of writing and gaming, Tom Clancy.

Overclocked, this card beats a stock GTX 680/HD 7970, and matches a stock GTX 770!:

  • This is actually a good price, although $50 more expensive than last time CentreCom Gigabyte Nvidia GTX670 2GB is $229.

But consider this is ASUS, it would cost around $25 more than Gigabyte version.
So technically, it's only $25 dollars more expensive.

Both shipping are around $9 dollars.

    • Wow that's a great price as well. Although how it compares to the Asus 760 would really depend on how far you could overclock it. Stock VS stock the 670 comes out just a bit on top- but it's different when an OC on this already OC card beats a stock 680. I doubt the Gigabyte 670 could clock to better performance than a 680, but yeah bang for buck $229 is superb.

      • That 670 you linked is the OC version, while not as good as the Asus DCII 670, which was faster than a stock 680 out of the box I believe, is no slouch when it comes to overclocking.

Not a bad price indeed. I've been tossing up over whether to go for a 4GB edition to future proof against next gen games and a higher res upgrade (though they cross into 770 territory, price wise). And then there's the upcoming AMD cards…
Still, $280 is hard to argue with.

    • If your last card is less than 2 years old, I'd wait for the new R9 cards. I had my last one for 4 and half years, then it broke and I had to downgrade to a spare card. Also, this 760 is only meant to last me until 2015 when I do a massive upgrade for Star Citizen :)

The 770 really is on another level to the 760 so if you had to get one now, I reckon the perf on a 2GB 770 would handle next-gen 1920x1080 just fine. Don't forget to overclock. Splurge a little and trust me you will feel happier :P

  • According to that site, gtx760 outrun the ati7970. The price is not so "special" thou. Any idea when the new ATI comes out and how its performance will be ?

    • I think where it's beating the AMD card, that's the custom overclocked 760 versus the stock clocks of a 7970, though. So in an apples to apples comparison, the 7970 would be a bit faster still. I could be wrong though.

As for the next gen AMD cards, they have the R7 and R9 series, with the latter being the higher end stuff. Apparently, some of them will be rebranded 7xxx series stuff (probably the R7's) whereas the top notch R9 290X is competitive with the Titan.

  • If you don't need a card right away just wait for the price cuts/new cards to come out (hopefully in a month)

    • What price will this card be when the new cards come out next month?

      • This card will be hard to find because it is end of line.

Very good cooling solution on this card - WAY WAY better than stock

its a good price if you looking for best cooled card. RIP Tom Clancy
