How is it an annual pass if it goes from dec to april?

    • It says season pass when you click through the link. Not sure if many people would go in winter anyway :S

      • +3

secret it's best in winter! Wetsuit + warm water + no queue = THE BEST!

    • Its a season pass (they will be closed for Fall and Winter). The same pass for Jambarro water park for 4 months is $90.

      • jambaroo is more than 6 months their season started in Sept

i dont think 5 months is considered annual

    • it is when the park is only open 5 months of the year!

so annual is 5 of 12 months. common sense, you get entry every single day of the year the park is open!

As there are currently no advertised prices for General Admission it is hard to determine exactly what sort of bargain this is, although I am sure that like most season passes it will be substantially better value that paying for multiple general admission entries. The closest comparison is the Wet'n'Wild on the Gold Coast, which gives a 12 month annual pass for $99.99 over its $59.99 General Admission price, so I expect the Sydney GA prices to be quite high, especially given this is a newly constructed project. The established Gold Coast parks would seem better value at $99.99 (for a full year) or even the 3 park VIP Pass for $99.99 giving unlimited entry to Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast until 30 June 2014. Of course, these are in Queensland so direct comparisons are difficult, but given the Wet'n'Wild Sydney website states there will be no discounted childrens passes nor family passes I am not convinced this is yet a true (oz)bargain.

Can the OP change it from annual to seasonal pass.
Not great value considering on the goldy you get an annual pass (for those actual 12 month years) for the 3 parks unlimited entry for $89-99. But I guess sydney can do that when you have the monopoly on the market.

I will wait to get the pass from the gate so can use my 5% ING discount.

    • Only on purchases up to $100 though

    • +9

You can also call it Wet 'n' wild wild west Sydney.

Where do you think wet n wild Gold Coast is? Right near Surfers Paradise? It takes 40 mins by bus during peak hours from the city to the park.

      • wet n wild gold coast is located in … umm gold coast?

        • +3

And Wet & Wild Sydney is in Sydney… His point was that neither are in the heart of the city.

        • The Gold Coast is a pretty broad term also including a fair about of mountain hinterland and bush.

Even have to pay for parking. Think driving down to GC would be a better value with this ridiculous price gouging.

Driving 'down' to the gold coast from Sydney?

      • Driving 'down' to the gold coast from Sydney?

This is OzBargain, we always think in terms of prices.

        • Okay driving 'up' to GC from Sydney. Done that many times. Turns out cheaper than the flights for a family and the hire car. Also $99 for the three parks annual pass and nothing to pay for parking.

This is not a bargain, they've simply advertised season passes only to rope in as many people as possible while the pre-opening hype is strong. The fact they've done this without specifying general admission pricing so we can properly determine the saving indicates that this is most likely poor value and they know it (otherwise they'd be advertising it).

  • Can this Pass be used at the Gold Coast Park as well or is it restricted to Sydney? Would be cool if you can use it at both Parks, Would definitely grab it then.

  • Just noticed free parking is now included with the pass
