  • I'll probably be hanging of these like on the monkey swings at the park :(

    • I do not recommend swinging on this… unless you want to fall backwards

but does the door frame support 300lbs ???

    • +2

yep, door frames are not made to be load bearing. you can seriously damage the door.

    • +6

I disagree I've got one of these and it hasn't damaged the door at all. It redirects the force so it's not straight downwards but rather against the frame as well.

danielslater811 is right. I had one of theses and the force/ load is not straight down on the door frame, it is distributed at a right angle to the wall above the frame (as well as downwards).

depends on the home. in older homes, door frames are the strongest structure. that is why it WAS suggested to stay under a it during earthquakes

  • I remember getting this one last year http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75116.
It's pretty good quality but I don't know if I'd pay $21 for one.

Bought one of these for $6.95 a few years ago. It says it fits most doorways, but apparently not mine. Not the bedroom, bathroom, frontdoor, nothing.

Its now taking up space in the garage. It looks too good to throw away but is so irritating to store due to its awkward shape.

    Nightmare purchase.

These are pretty good. Big W usually have them for $9.95

  • I bought one from Big-w couple years ago for 1/2 that price.

  • I got mine from GraysOnline for twice the Price :(

Not recommend this item. Bought one from bigW at $13.00. Now sitting in garage. It only fits the door with frames convex to the wall. If your door frame is flat to the wall surface, it will not fit. Also you need a very sturdy door frame. You had to bend you legs when exercising for the limit height of the door. So if this item loose from the door or door frame break, there's no way you can stand up. Your knees will hit the ground directly…
