    I know three people that own 'floor cleaning' robots. All of them suck (not in the way you'd like them to).

    Robots are very cool but I think these are still a novelty item.

      Then they have low cost ones. I am sure neither of them has got Roomba 780 or Neato 25. Sold dozes of them and not one complaint over years

        I know that one of them is a Roomba (don't know what model).
        Do you own one of the two models you mentioned? Have you used one over time?
        How does it compare to a traditional cleaner?

          Dont expect robot do the same as human!
          However, if you accept imperfection, you dont have to worry about cleanning your house ever again!
          I have Neato 21 for 1.5 year now, with his companion Mint Robot.
          I must say they are now part of our family! We cant live without them.
          Neato automatic vacuum the whole house every morning and Mint finish mopping the floor.
          I would laugh at Dyson users for now!

          I have had them in store displayed for quite a while. Said simple, as for now there is no replacement for a "proper" vacuum cleaner. BUT, they do a great job overall in the house. There for sure will be some dust in the corners which you usually would have to vacuum every few days. Besides that the are really good.

          A Neato x25 is at the moment the closest to a "real" vacuum cleaner, really does a great job and is reliable. Brands to forget are the Kaercher, most of the Samsung and LG ones, even if some of them cost a lot they are nowhere good. IMHO best of is Vorwerk (made by Neato), Neato and Roomba 780

          To people which work that makes a big difference. Instead of vacuuming for 30 minutes the whole house you just vacuum max 5 minutes the corners….

          Fair point. Time is valuable / hard to come by these days.
          I'm waiting for mafmouf to post a deal when Rosie goes on special. Until then, I'll do it the traditional way.

          Bot everyone has the same definition of clean. Nor the same inclination or available time to clean.

          I don't need a perfect robot vacuum, just as long as it does do the job. Anything will be an improvement over the current state of my carpet.

    Mum uses it about 3 to 4 times a week so i hope this one last just as long if not longer.
