Looking for a good deal on 32GB Class 10 SDHC card...

I had Sandisk Ultra Class10 SDHC card.. Unfortunately I lost it along with all my pics :(…

I was wondering if that speed was enough for my DSLR or I should be better off using the Extreme one?

Also please let me know if anyone can find a good deal on a Class 10 SDHC card 32gb

Thank you

For your camera, any Class 10 will be good enough for Video, but the faster the write speeds, the quicker your cycle time between still shots. Also, if you get a card with fast reads (over 25MB/sec) then you can get the images off a lot faster providing you use a USB 3.0 Card Reader rather than USB 2.0

Anyway, Class 10 (10MB/sec sequential write) is your minimum. The newest cards are UHS-1 which is the next rating system above "Class 10". SDHC only goes up to 32GB, then it's SDXC for the larger cards.

The Samsung Plus and Pros are great value, so I am tending towards those at the moment.
32GB Samsung Plus SD = 21MB/sec Write and 24MB/sec Read
32GB Samsung Pro SD = 40MB/sec Write and 80MB/sec Read

Note that the MicroSD are not as fast, for example…
32GB Samsumg Pro MicroSD = 20B/sec Write and 70MB/sec Read

    I nabbed a 16GB Pro SD off this deal… http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/119795

In comparison to the Samsung Pro, the Sandisk Ultra is slower for the same $$, whilst the Sandisk Extreme is still slower and more expensive. The Extreme Pro is better but much more expensive.

Just watch Ozbargain each day, as these cards are continually promoted in the New Deals section.

    • Thank you for the detailed explanation.. It really helped.. I was using Sandisk Ultra. I think it had a speed of 40Mbps.

I believe that is enough (drawing from your comment)

    • Thanks Llama really good clear and concise info there.
