  • I guess for a decent branded product, this is a reasonable deal. Welcome to OzBargain OP.

This is good with the Apple offer 15% off "APPLE15" but shipping is not good if just purchasing one.

    • thanks - managed to stack with "SPOOK80"

2X phone back protectors + 1x ipad back protectors for USD $10.36

  • Noted for next time - my bad:(, i have also updated topic

    • "within the US"

Bought 2 for Galaxy tab for $13.87 USD.

The shipping was around $5.87, so definitely not worth buying just one as the shipping is more expensive than the screen protector.

  • Are these good screen protectors? I've only ever used cheap ones before and they give the screen a crappy plastic 'feel', they're streaky and screen is dimmer - would be happy to get some good ones because the Xperia Z1 seems pretty scratchy.

    • Hi, please read my comment below, but I think Spigen glass or MIME glass would be pretty good.

    • You should be able to install these properly first go because your phone is water resistant, don't worry too much about all the care required for others.

  • Their not to bad. does what its meant to do.. although the precision in cutting them can be a little off sometimes

  • +2

last week shipping only U$ 3.78
    and got 85% off

  • A word for the uninitiated: these are wet application protectors.

  • +1

I have used Xtremeguard before on nexu 4 and will not use it again. The application is waterbased plus the screen protector is soft and rubber like material which will stick to your fingure. This one would be great for Nexus 4 backside as it will prevent it from sliding off. I have taken the screen protector off from the front side of Nexus 4.

    • +2

Not a fan either . In fact I find the super cheap ones on ebay far better . The xtremeguard protector is very much like the rubbery protector that the nexus ships with . It's actually very good at protecting your phone but looks bad and feels worse . Works well on the back though as you said .
When people say "branded product" what they mean is heavily marketed .

    • I had zaggskin on my Nokia before and can attest to this… Over time the edges may peel and pick up black gunk, which makes the device ugly. The scratch resistance is very good though but that's about the only benefit.

At this discounted price I don't mind it but there's no way I would pay more than ten bux for a skin.

  • Thanks Op!
$11.20 AUD for 2x Full body protector for LG G2!

  • +3

I agree decent price for branded product.

I have tested a few different branded screen protectors in my life, including the ZAGG, Spigen, and a few others.

In my opinion the best so far is Spigen Glass.
Some reviewers said MIME Ghost Glass also the same, but cheaper.

The price is a bit steep, at USD35, or $45 on ebay.

Because it is a glass, not plastic, it is absolutely scratch-proof, and spigen made it finger-print resistant.
Many other products is either of these feature, not both.
Also the spigen one is easy to glide your finger on the screen, not sticky.
    It also has maximum clarity.

If I'm not mistaken Xtremeguard is very similar to ZAGG.
While it is self-heal, scratch-proof, etc, zagg is not 100% clarity, and is very fingerprint-magnet as well as sticky.

As for back protector, do you really need them? For galaxy phones, you can just replace the back cover.
It is needed for iphone and htc one though.

  • 2 x full body ipad air
    1 front ipad air
    1 full body nexus 5
    1 full body htc one
    = $18.36
    hope the protectors are quality.

  • pity no love for NOTE II…..

  • Not a good buy, I just received this one:
    http://dx.com/p/benks-akr-0-3mm-scratch-resistant-shatterpro…

Couple dollars more and much better product: it fell the same as your original screen.

  • You will need soapy water for the installation, and your phone will be soapy, extra care is required when installing it, otherwise ur phone will be water damaged.

    • +2

Not if you have the Xperia Z1 ;)

      • One of the best features on my XZ.

        Laugh now, friends! >:)

      • Z1 is actually my current phone….:)

  • I order some Xtremeguard for iPhone last time, I was disapointed, they were not as transparent as I imagained.

    • what did you imagine?

  • +8

I spent like 50 dollars a while ago, getting several different screen protectors. They sent everything within one envelope without separate packaging (the protectors doesn't get its own plastic packaging), which made everything stick together, and when you peel them apart everything gets damaged. Also, they sent the wrong products too (i ordered 4 x iPhone 5 covers they sent me 4 x iPhone 4 covers). I emailed them, they resent the products, but the same result, everything was sent in one envelope without separate packaging, and everything was stuck together again. Waste of money and time, i ended up throwing all the products away.

They also told me they don't use product packaging, and i shouldn't order that much stuffs in one go.

      • +2

maybe they should have a warning on their sales page, saying something like:

-No separate product packaging for the product you order.
-We don't want you to buy too many products from us in one go, etc.
-We will send you everything in one packaging if you order too much, which ruins the products and makes it useless.

    • Reminds me of certain memory card sellers…

  • Wow: 80+% off. Was going to do my usual order from Bestskinsever (the only one I've used, and it's good so far), but will see what xtremeguard's skin is like.

Doesn't affect me, but FWIW, there's no separate choice for the LTE version of the iPad Air. Usually there's a cut out for the SIM card.

    • +2

I signed up, just to say the same thing.

Always bought from Bestskinsever, but they can be pricey, and my cover is starting to show some age..

So bought the FULL body for the iphone with SPOOK80 and APPLE15… turns out to be cheaper than chips.

      Thanks OP

Stacks with APPLE15! extra 15% off for apple products

  • 3 x iPad Air full body protectors for $13.51 delivered. Thanks OP.

  • ordered couple.
    thanks op

  • +1

these are on special every other day 70 to 80 % off (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Xtremeguard+%25+off). Really not worth it bad clarity and difficult to apply (good luck using soap water on your phone http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Tno… ).

    • Have to agree. Terrible product & not even a bargain compared to other retailers/sources.

  • +1

Surprised that this even has negs to begin with. Been using one on my Nexus 4 for a couple months now and it's fantastic. The only issue is the fact that the corners are peeling, but that's because of the design of my case, as it tends to dig under the actual screen itself. Other than than, cheers OP, gonna buy a few for my incoming Nexus 5 :D

  • Am I the only one that thinks the postage is a total rip off? Actual cost is likely <$1.

  • bought 2 full body covers for my nexus 5. at that price it's totally worth buying a 2nd in case i stuff up the installation. great deal!!
