These tablets run fast and smooth… Just like the CentreCom staff when you have a problem.

  • This deal has been going on for a while now and they keep extending the time. I ordered mine last week and should be expecting them soon, but why are they so cheap?! Specs look good on paper

It was $70 after cashback just a month back, will wait for that price to be back. May be Click Frenzy time. Anything above $99 with shipping an everything is a bit no no for this tablet. The built quality is not so upto mark and when a refurb 32GB Nexus 7 can be had for $150 mark from CFOnline, this must be $99 till door to be interesting.

I believe it was for Acer B1 7", not this 8" one.

I got one the first time this deal came around. Runs well with everything I've thrown at it, albeit nothing too strenuous (streaming videos, light gaming, web browsing). Size is great, battery life is reasonable but not great. The screen the only thing I don't like about it - colours are lackluster BUT for $100 you'd but hard pressed to find something better.

i got one.. runns verry nice. I'm happy with it

  • It's got really poor screen and bad contrast.

    • Just like xperia z.

  • Hmm maybe it is time to move on from the HP touchpad

  • Faaarrrrrrrrrrk i missed out again, maybe they will do a 3rd round.

  • This is a great little tablet! I bought one for my partner, and we like it better than my first gen iPad mini!

  • I agree it's a good tablet. I have no complaints other than the charging port is located on the bottom corner not the middle. Makes docking a little challenging. Would definately buy again at the same price.

  • Has anyone found a kid case for these?

As for people whingeing about the tablet,
Can you really find a sub $110 tablet, that even comes close to this?

  • Borat is wingeing because he missed out:(

    Tempted to buy this

At least it supports a 3g dongle and has HDMI

Cashback - you will be asked to cut out the SNID from your box and send it in, attached to an application form. REMEMBER to keep a copy of your application ID and SNID together, in a handy place. I got my cashback card attached to a letter which gave the application ID but said I had to put the card number and SNID into a website to activate.

I found the WIFI id on the side of the box was the same for 2 of the tablets I had purchased (myself and friends)

I'm not sure why the speaker on mine is playing up. Sound volume has dropped drastically and is distorted. It was great a week ago.

It's been fine running basic games, documents etc.

I've sync'd up a bluetooth keyboard to it (Stowaway keyboard).
I've hooked up a USB mouse to it via the OTG usb dongle.
I can check a USB flash drive or a micro SD card reader via the OTG dongle.

I hooked up a powered USB hub via the OTG dongle. In addition to running flash drives and the micro SD card reader, I can run a multi card reader (doesn't work in OTG dongle alone), USB powered 2.5" drive and these can all be run at the same time and accessed at the same time. (ie if there is wall power, I can backup photos while travelling).

I have not rooted the tablet to get anything working. I just applied the updates when prompted. (One update specified it enabled some drives)

I could not get a USB dvd writer to be recognised (brand Ritmo), though I've heard of people with new Samsung drives allegedly able to get them accessible to android tablets.

  • I have 2 from a previous deal and while they are not as flash as eg the iPad mini, for the money I think they are brilliant. My only "issue" is that the video player doesn't support as diverse range of file formats as it could.

Can anyone reccomend any snug fitting cases? Preferably, rubber style for kids.
