CPAP package deal.

Hi there,

I have been diagnosed with OSA and have bee recommended to get a machine like the Redmed S9 Auto.

Has any one been able to get any good deals from Australia online or local dealers? (I live in WA).

Amazon.com or some NZ sites seem cheaper, but HBF said they probably wouldn't pay.

So far the cheapest is $1999, from CPAP Australia.

I read this as CRAP package deal and was expecting some crummy Bali flight/hotel combo.

    • haha…me too.

Sorry OP, not brilliant detail but I think my dad got his through CPAP Australia and got a big refund from his health fund. My mum has got him some spare masks of ebay and at one stage was cutting up some bits of material to make something on her own…which apparently worked better than the ones you buy…

  • Try secondwindcpap.Com - open box specials are a quarter of the oz price and masks are also much cheaper in US - less than $100. We are really screwed here even though CPAP was developed here. Its a real industry with little insurance fund support. HBF gives back around $800 which will get a very basic machines with limited data management - you need to be able to read daily results of ahi etc and adjust it yourself otherwise you pay a fortune in medical fees to the sleep industry people. Make sure on model numbers before you buy here or overseas. Its easy to end up with a very basic machine that is crippled deliberately by manufacturers to provide no daily data.
