BREAKING NEWS - 19/11/13:
In an unprecedented show of solidarity, a crockery association has gathered en masse in Brisbane's CBD today, staging a sit-in inside a department store to defend the treatment of out-of-work members and demand the release of their "brothers in servitude" from high-profile restaurants in Australia and around the world.
Nearly a hundred members of the Spinning Plates Faction had been spotted in the area in previous days, but their number more than doubled overnight, with most scaling and occupying steel structures in the store when it opened at 8am.
Police arrived at 10am to disperse the gathering and began making arrests immediately, citing the new Vicious Lawless Associations Disestablishment law. However, after court documents showing the recent conviction of a police officer for corruption was produced and shown to the officers in attendance, the officers began enthusiastically arresting each other, drawing cheers from bemused onlookers. The sit-in continues - updates as they come to hand.

Plates: can't live without them, can't sell them in an inner city department store. These were originally $4, and have been hanging around like an ebola spore for the last three or so sales, if not longer. They've finally been put down to 50c to be put out of their misery, and with the current 30% off tablewares (which ends Wednesday), they come to 35c a pop. Decent quality, quite thick, dishwasher and microwave safe. Side plate is 21cm, dinner 27cm, both in six different plain colours. Some are a bit scuffed from being dragged kicking and screaming around the store so many times. About 100 or so left as of lunchtime today. There's some fancier 'crackle' and earthenware ones near them for 70c too, but they're handwash only - pompous ingrates.
Good deal but the vote was for the description too!!
