For the $19 x 24 months plan ($456 total), you get:

  • Nintendo Wii
  • LG U300 3G phone
  • 50 minutes free 3 to 3 calls per month (national)
  • $19 credit per month (which equates to about $19 voice call)
  • choose 1 from 3 other bonus (incl. 100 free SMS) see plan details here

This plan is only available to new 3 customers.

Wii is going for less than $400 now. The phone plan is probably best for someone who want to receive calls, or for emergency use only ($0.5 per 30sec with 25cents flagfall). There is a corresponding thread on Whirlpool, which is where I found out about it.

That is a very sweet deal, so for $454 over 24 months, you get

  1. Nintendo Wii
  2. LG U300
  3. $19 mobile credit per month

Even with 50c/30 second, I probably won’t use $19 a month (i.e. won’t incur extra charge) so it is actually quite a good plan for me!

Yeah, the plan is good for people who don’t use mobile much. If I could afford a Wii, I would get this as well.

Sorry for the mis-calculation. Damn there is no Mo’s in Sydney CBD and the nearest seems to be at Darlinghurst. Need to consult the CFO at home, i.e. wife, on the viability of getting a new phone :)

I’ve called a few Mo’s stores in Sydney over the weekend, and they all said that the promotion is no more. Still waiting for the response from their HQ.

The promotion is clearly visible on their home page, and it is hard to believe that they won’t honour the deal.
