Ooh iPhone on the cheap. Very good deal. People considering this offer should know that there's a new iPhone expected in June/July. Update to the new software is free for all existing iPhone. You just don't get the new hardware.

  • are iphones definately on the old plan? the new plans suck

    • iPhone's cap plans do not change. Only the regular cap plans change

I don't think this plan is any cheaper than the old one,
I'm paying $87 on 12 months plan with $50 monthly allowance, in the end of the contract, it equals to $1000+ for 16GB,
I remember 8GB cost around $870 in the end of 12 months contract.

This might be cheaper if anyone interested on getting it with the cap plan,
I reckon Optus are trying to get rid of their old iphone stock because there will be a new iphone coming out in June or a bit later than that, 90% chance.

  • Just saw on paper today that it's free on a $49 cap.

  • This saves approximately $4 per month payment which it previously was on this plan… (or was it $3) - still, that's more than a $50 saving overall!

  • the free on $49 cap requires a 9.95$ data pack i think, so this 59$ deal is better.
An even better deal then this is the vodafone 69$ cap (available online). you get 8gb iphone for free, with $400 call credits and 1gb downloads, as well as a free official apple docking station, and 3 months access free (for the 5,6,7 months).
This brings the total cost down to an average of ~61$ dollars a month for a far superior deal compared to optus as for 2$ extra a month, you get more call credits, and twice the download data, and a free dock station.

also vodafones 3g network seems to be better the optus's.

    • Vodafone not an option for regional areas.

    • $49 cap already includes 250mb, so $10 less than the $59 deal… no data pack

  • $300 Incl. Call & Text Value but excludes some services.

So just wondering does this $300 credits can be use for international call?

    • NO you can't! $300 is for national calls and text and also international text. It does not include roaming charges, International calls, and premium numbers/text.

      • Thanks for your response.
That's suck…I hardly use over $100/ month. Would sign up this deal if they included International calls.
Virgin included international calls in their cap but the rate so high.
