    Mega encrypts files you upload with your password. Password resets are possible but because your old stuff will be encrypted with your forgotten password you won't be able to access them!

      yup thats because mega has no record and never gets/sees your key, all data gets encrypted on your computer before being uploaded so on there servers its encrypted and can not be unencrypted/spied on by anyone else (unless you hand out your key) including NSA/governments/hollywoods extortion trolls. giving both you and mega unparallelled safety/security/privacy

      which means me and only me gets to appreciate all my donkey porn… unless i choose to share it.

      sadly, this is one of the (several) main reasons his business was shut down… you just cant fight the completely corrupt US government who is controlled by hollywood without getting this sort of corrupt actions against you…..
