    Good deal if you can live with the 1A and hard wired cable. I prefer 2.1A and dual ports.

    • If you are talking about the type sold by meritline and countless ebay sellers for $1, try opening it up. You'll find a world of difference between those type and the good ones. The charger that comes with a tomtom gps for instance, has heaps of components on the circuit board. The cheap ones have a microchip and little else.

      Doesn't stop me using mine, most of that stuff might be superfluous, but comparing the two is apples/organes.

  • Wondering if this can charge a Sony compact camera which has a micro USB charging socket.
    I just had a big occasion in last weekend where I found my camera battery went dead when I most needed it. At least if I had a charger in the car I could capture some part of it.

  • Seems alright to chuck in the glovebox for emergencies at $5 delivered.
