BOOST Prepaid Sony Xperia E Phone - $59 with Free Shipping and (Maybe) $20/- Cashback @ DSE

50

SO I needed a cheap phone and found this, it's Boost mobile which is locked to Telstra Network. I popped in to my local DSE and bought one for $59/- came home and found a sticker on the box saying $20/- cashback until 31-01-2014 redeem at Boost.com.au.

Submitted it here

http://apps.boost.com.au/apps1/cashback/cashback.aspx

It was accepted and the site said to allow 8 weeks processing time, so I wont know if it worked until 2 months from now.

The Phone is only a single core but has Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and if I end up getting it for $39/- its a steal, even at $59/- its pretty good IMHO.

  • Is it micro sim or normal sim?
And how much would it cost to unlock?

    • some sellers offering unlock on ebay for $20-25.

    • normal sim, got one for the old man at Kmart last week for $59.

Worth a try but I don't think that cashback will go through, one of the terms:

"(Offer) Subject to these Terms, if you purchase a new (not pre-owned) Boost branded Sony Xperia E mobile phone handset for $99 or more in a single transaction"
