HeadDirect RE0 - $139.00 - Audiophile earphones!

50

Down from $280 yesterday to the new price of $130! These earphones are the best you can get for under $300, now at the (very) special price of only $130.

The HeadDirect RE0 are the top of the line HeadDirect audiophile in-ear monitor line, possible to buy from the official US store for USD$200 (and on top of that, you have to pay shipping). The RE0's are known as one of the most balanced earphones in existence, producing the exact sound that the audio source is putting out instead of changing the sound like most earphones/headphones on the market today.

For review threads, all of the following heavily praise the RE0, and the owners of these threads are the sorts of people that are very, very picky with their audio:

The RE0 is an excellent sounding, comfortable and well built canalphone. With a very well balanced sound, high levels of detail and good solid, but not overwhelming, bass response this is a fantastic allrounder. Unlike the RE1 this model does not require dedicated amplification for best performance, and the performance is indeed extremely good for the price!

The RE0 is low profile enough to be used comfortably under a motorcycle helmet using the lower profile tips included.

Also, the RE0 was a recommended purchase (indicating good value to price ratio) BEFORE it was $130.

    Also everyone, audiophile in-ear monitors (IEM) aren't meant for everyone and I doubt any of you need this, but they can be uncomfortable to those with small ear canals. If you haven't tried IEM's before, I'd suggest you go to crazy clarks and dropping $3 on a pair of them there, just to see how the fit is in your ears. I've just bought a pair of these, after getting some Alessandro MS-1's from this site (and a pair of yellow HD414 pads).

  • Whoa!!! Suddenly, so many good headphone discounted. Just don't have the money to buy them all.

    • I know right? :( And I'm meant to be able to save up for a bond on a new lease!

      reminds self, tax time in a month, more money to spend spend SPEND

  • I found a better deal for headphones,
    Sennheiser OMX 90 VC - RRP $149.99
    Average selling price online $120.00

    I found in a major national retail store, Brand new with 2 year warranty for only $9.99 (yes, under $10)

    Plus i got a 25% discount, lol, so made about $7.49

    • The Sennheiser OMX 90 VC != HeadDirect RE0 quality ;)

      • …what does != mean…

        • its the same as /= in fortran

        • my guess is != mean "not equal to"

          bugme, what's the chance of someone here even heard of fortran :D

          • @thangcuoi: i have!

            but back on topic, i am tempted by these headphones. are they actually still available? site says 'back soon'. how would they go with your regular portable devices? n95 in particular.

            • @johnnyonelove: They're actually one of the best in-ear monitors that don't need amplification, so they'll be great for the n95. The site says back soon, and that means literally back soon, they'll be getting more stock in in 2 and a half weeks.

    • Hi i just wonder where the store locate in? This is an amazing price if those headphones are genuine.

      • The store is located in Perth somewhere, but they do free shipping to all Australian locations, from memory.

        The official Head-Direct website recently reduced the RE0 to $169, so the Headphonic deal is still a bargain.
