Mistaken description - what would happen?

Hi guys,

I've seen a couple of discussions around recently that relate to mistaken descriptions. Some of these are kinda wafty on the details but I think I have a good example to discuss.

Now see here http://www.birite.com.au/index.php/panasonic-55-full-hd-3d-w…

Here we have a TV being sold for $1,367.

The title of the page says it's a Panasonic THP55VT60A.

The title above the description says it's a Panasonic THP55VT60A.

Basically it's a great price for the VT60A. But is it the VT60A?

The description of the VT60A specifically identifies the monitor as a THP50ST60A, and the specs also relate to the ST60A.

Let's now go to buy now. If you follow it all the way through, you'll eventually get this on your Paypal:

PANASONIC 55" Full HD 3D WiFi Camera Web Browser NeoPlasma TV THP55VT60A
Item number:THP50ST60A
Item price: $1,242.73

So I think we all know that if you were to proceed with the order, you would in fact recieve the ST60A. However, could you argue that a VT60A was in fact the TV that you paid for and make them supply one to you?

Thoughts?

they would say they dont have stock, issue an apology, give you a full refund and tell you to try again :)

  • I wouldn't even bother with a place that can't get the description right. Shoddy.

They can't even spell 'buy right' correctly…
