  • I had a look at the conditions and there are too many for just $4 less per ticket (about $8-$9 is the best price per ticket for such conditions):

    • Not valid on Friday or Saturday nights after 5pm.
    • Offer is valid when tickets are purchased for the same session of the same film within the same transaction.
    • Voucher is single use only and must be surrendered once used.
    • Offer excludes: La Premiere, Directors Suite, thehalfpipe, IMAX, Xtremescreen and 3D.
    • Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer or voucher.
    • Offer not valid for special events (including gala screenings & double features)
    • Voucher is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
    • Not valid with group bookings, gift vouchers or Super Savers.
    • Not valid for online and mobile ticketing.

This offer is nothing special, unfortunately. It's easy enough to get Hoyts Adult Super Savers for around $12/ea which do not have Friday restrictions.

    No good.

I think thats a bit harsh reviews. With the 12$ vouchers either you have to pre-purchase them from newsagents(only open during the day), cinemas(available in big packs of 10), or online(again needs to be purchased in advance). I dont go to the movies too often - only once in a while - so I dont like to pre-purchase the passes.

For me, this gives me the flexibility to go out on a Thursday night (or whenever I feel like going for a movie - as long as I use my printer at home or work to print this). Doesn't matter if the newsagents with the cheap vouchers are open or not.

And most of the conditions are quite normal on these passes. The first one is the only one which is a bit restrictive.

Also, the $12 (with no Friday restrictions) as far as I am aware are only available in certain states and again can only be used in certain states.

Unfortunately, the link is not working at the moment.

Yeah, an $8 saving is better then no saving at all. And not everyones goes to the movies 10 times before they expire.

      • Actually I went to watch a movie at Hoyts last night and got my Super Savers for $9.95/ea at a local internet cafe on the way. Open late, very convenient. $25 may offer some saving, but why only save 20% when you can save almost 40% on a ticket that is less restrictive?

  • do you need to be a member to enjoy this benefit?

it says member + $25 although it does not say anything in the terms and conditions section at the bottom of the page.

if so, member of which? hoyts or jeanswest?
