  • Last time I needed this done I think it cost around $50-60, best check with your bank directly in the morning.

    Special clearance

If you want fast clearance of a cheque you can ask yourbranch for a special clearance. Our staff will provide you with an estimate of the time it will take plus the cost involved.

NAB's fee for a special clearance covers the extra administrative costs involved in making a special payment request to the bank where the cheque account is held. Depending on the speed of the clearance you request, this added cost may in some instances include courier expenses. Special clearance fees are outlined in NAB's Personal and Business Banking brochures entitled 'A Guide to Fees and Charges'. These brochures are available on request or through NAB's website nab.com.au

  • You can arrange for a cheque to be cleared in less than the usual time by requesting a 'special clearance' and paying a fee of $15 (according to the NAB website). Details are here: http://www.nab.com.au/content/dam/nab/personal/interest-rate…

  • It's called a special answer and normally clears the next business day and cost $15. Keep in mind that NAB will need to receive answer from paying bank for fast clearance, if the paying bank doesn't response then the 3 days clearance applies.

  • It's a check from my lawyer from nrma, do t know what type of check matters?

    • Probably a bank cheque or trust account cheque.
Can't you call NAB 24hrs and ask them.

    • You can ask for special answers on all personal or bank cheques.
