Always loved Sim Golf, surprised they never made another. Or, disappointed I should say.

    • +1

Simgolf is my favourite 'simgame' of all time. And as a bonus, I think it is still the best golf game ever made, with Tiger 2005 for PS2 a close second.

Man, this is a massive amount of gaming for the price for bugger all. Civ IV on its own makes this outstanding.

  • +3

only need brave new world dlc….. I think I could do better than $15 USD tho….

  • +1

I already owned Civ V and Gods and Kings so it's great I can gift it away! Separate steam keys for all games is awesome.

    • Is is it individual keys for each game or 1 key for each tier?

      • +1

All individual, I surrendered and bought it…..sigh :P

        • +2

          Surrender or Forfiet?

        • touché

  • -2

So I can get all of those first 5 for at least $1 total?
Even less if I dont care about steam keys?

    • +3

Erm, its steam only. No DRM free copies.

  • +1

Average is climbing really fast. Must finally be a humble bundle with less people just paying $1.

    • +7

I'd suggest it's the $15 DLC that is raising the average… Smart move!

      • +1

yeah. I'd say for a lot of people its a choice of $1 or $15. It's not like it is that wide a variety - if your interested in one you are interested in all of them.

  • Awww I have everything herr already except railroads and brave New world

  • +3

Oh wow the average is climbing fast. For the record, the average was $5.17 around 6:45am. $6.52 as of 8:30am AEDT.

    • It's pretty clever marketing by having the "pay $15 or more for BRAVE NEW WORLD", I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up to $8 average by the end of the day.

      • Yes it is and because it is working so well they will probably do the same thing for every new humble bundle from now on…

      • $8.67 now! Golly gosh.

    • $7.46 at 11:10am

  • How do people normaly split it?

I tend to go 30% Devs, 65% Charity, 5% Bundle

    • +10

This time 100% charity. 2K are price gougers. Civ V is priced at $30 to the US and $70 for Australia, they don't deserve anything from us.

  • +2

100% Charity - By making this I also maximise the donations to charity done by the companies.

    • But if they wanted it all to go to charity wouldn't they only offer the charity option and give it all to charity?

      • +2

You're looking at it wrong - if you give 100% to charity, the company is already donating their share, you just gave them no option. :)

    • +3

Unless it's an indie developer I always go 100% charity because of the lack of transparency on the site.

If they showed a breakdown of how much each party has received so far then I would do a split which I feel would help towards balancing it out, but without them providing us with such information I can only assume that most are using the default split, which in my opinion is completely unbalanced.

While I appreciate everything Humble is doing I certainly don't agree that their share of the default split should be so high in comparison to what the charity receives. (Developers 65% / Charity 20% / Humble 15%)

      • +3

Yep, some extra transparency would be nice, even after the offer ends.

But what balance is the right balance? And if others have a different view, then does it become a pointless tug-of-war of everyone trying to assert their balance?

Also, given the developers do the majority of the work, why don't they deserve something, indie or not? And if it really is all 100% about the charity, why aren't we donating far more?

There isn't necessarily any "true" answers to these questions. I'm just throwing them up as food for thought.

  • +1

i paid $19.95 for complete Civ V. AS some people mention, Civ 5 need Brave new world

  • +1

Bought Civ V in a previous deal and never been able to play it. Goes straight into a black screen after the direct X choice. No solution I have tried so far has worked :( Seems to be a common issue. Because of that I certainly wont BTA and $15 is out of the question.

But otherwise a damn fine bundle, would be epic if it had Sid Meier's Pirates! too :)

    • It ain't over yet. HB often throw in a few extra games mid-way through the sale. Pirates could be one of those games.

      • That is what I am waiting for, since I have Civ V and don't want to spend the $15 for brave new world, I currently only want Railroads & Civ IV from Tier 1, it's just a matter of whether I BTA for the bonus game or just go min. Problem is the BTA keeps rising.

        • +1

Well they've added Pirates, and some other stuff, but the BTA is now up to $9.20!

        • DAMNNNNNNIIIIITT!

Pirates has been as low as $2.50, so I'll just wait for the next Steam Sales.

        • Aye, we've added more content to the Humble Sid Meier Bundle! Sid Meier's Pirates!, Sid Meier's Civilization V: Scrambled Nations Map Pack and Sid Meier's Civilization V: Scrambled Continents Map Pack are now available when you pay more than the average booty.

      • If you buy BTA before they throw in extra games, do you still get those extra games or do you miss out?

  • Hi got the BTA. Changed my mind, can I pay a bit more to get Brave New World?

  • +2

Just a reminder to everyone that if you already have the game and want the serial number to gift to a mate who has steam, make sure that you select the "I want to gift this" tick box.

Otherwise when you go to redeem your keys, it will automatically assign it to your steam account (assuming you logged into the Humble Bundle deal with your steam details.

You can unlink the codes but this just makes it a neater step for the lazy people like me. :-)

    Regards
    Daniel

    • +2

Or just buy it normally and follow this guide… which is just as easy

  • Great bargain.

Quick question, do you require steam after download to play the game?

I use one computer online and another for gaming, which I don't access the net. So I would like to download to one and transfer to another.

Can I copy to dvd as back up? (assuming no)

  • Great games, i'm only after the ace patrol titles, if someone wants to gift them to me
otherwise i'll be gifting civ3, civ4 and railroads to anyone who gets in first (pm)

    • +4

erm, its $1 that goes to charity (if you decide where the money goes)….. i know this goes against the very nature of this site… but seriously?

      • -1

Yep. Sharing is caring, I'm happy to pay the dollar but I don't want to 'waste' the games that I've already got, and I could also imagine that most people will be buying for civ rather than ace patrol

        • +3

There's no waste. They only provide a key upon request, so only request the keys you need.

It's a dollar (or better yet, a couple). As nosdan says, seriously?!

  • So can anyone tell me if this is all worth the $15??

    • +5

      It's worth $15 just for Civ V

  • Gotta loves the song Baba Yetu from Civ 5

    • +2

      (actually from Civ 4)

  • I wonder whether they'll include all the other Civ 5 DLCs later on…

    • fingers crossed Civ VI is included later as well!

      • They have started mentioning when they are going to 'surprise' people with additions later, and I see no mention of it in this bundle.. So I doubt they will.

The honey in this deal is the DLC for $15, unfortunately.

        • +1

Mmm yeah, when I asked Humble Support about that, they just said keep posted till mid week.

    • I think there is a scenario pack that will be included in for free if you own the latest expansion. Which comes out in 2 days.

      http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=520065

The Conquest of the New World Deluxe Scenario

      • When I right click on Civ 5 in my games list and go to downloadable content, that scenario is shown in the list.. I haven't played the game yet so can't confirm if it is actually available yet but it seems like it?

  • is civillisation better than Stronghold crusade?
i used to love playing stronghold :)

  • Just need brave new world :(

  • +2

It is especially good value since Australians pay massively inflated prices for Civ 5 on Steam. I purchased Civ 5 & DLCs cheaply during an Amazon sale, so I shall just pick up Civ 3 and 4 for $1. But if you don't have Civ 5 yet, defintely lay down $15 for Tier 3.

  • First time I have picked up one of these bundles (or used steam).
Can someone tell me why I have 2 of all the Civ IV (inc expansions)

  • Thanks for posting, I've been wanting to get into Civ V.

  • -7

I feel like the humble bundles have been getting worse latley….

    • +5

      Are you fishing for negs?

    • +1

IKR but that's only because of some of the freaking awesome ones like the THQ bundle and ORIGIN bundle. Both excellent, both one offs

  • Humble bundles is playing statistical trick. By having these 3 tiers, it has affected the tier2 figure greatly. I don't mind to donate the money but I have the feeling Humble is putting a bit of a pressure on people to spend more, whether this is good or bad is up to your interpretation.

    • +1

I think it's a good outcome for everyone.

We should not fool ourselves too greatly; we are paying for an item and selecting who we are paying. More money going to the charity, publisher and humble is a good thing but not as selfless as a true donation :)

  • Is anybody else running into a problem where the 'Gods and Kings' expansion for Civilisation-V isn't showing up on Steam?

    • +3

That tricked me at first. If you right click on Civ V in library and select show downloadable content, it should appear. It's funny that the expansions for Civ IV show as separate titles while they do not for Civ V

      • Thanks for the tip Lordlike. It's my first time using Steam.

  • I still miss the space and underwater cities of call to power II.

But for $15 i can do without a printed wall chart of the tech tree

  • Railroads is a lot of fun - just spent about 6 hours playing it :)

  • Can someone give me a reason why should I get civ 4, civ 3 when I have civ 5? :)

    • +2

      ..because

    • because civ 5 was simplified.. where civ 4 has much more complex game play strategy involved. You will get a chance to see some slight outdated trailers when you complete a world wonder.

And its only $1 for civ 4 and civ 3

  • Hmm.. interesting. First time I've seen a $15 tier. It's going to drive up the average.

Civ 5 complete edition which includes DLC map packs is available now btw.

  • +9

    • Cheers Porleng! Legend! Took WQKY0-C98EG-I0P7X! Thanks!

    • +4

All gone. Are TB6, X6K and 47J going to post, or at least thank porleng?

      • +2

They might have been guest users, but they should make an account just to thank porleng.

    • +1

Thanks dude, even though I didn't get a key, you're awesome!

  • I hope more retailer offers Amazon payment as I am avoiding PayPal when I can.

  • +1

No Alpha Centauri = NO DEAL

  • +1

Two bloody AM, This game is way too addictive.

    • Which one?

      • +1

        All of 'em.

I'm so glad Alpha Centuari isn't included or I'd never go outdoors.

  • I usually just beat the average, but with the average almost $9, it doesn't seem crazy to jump to the $15.

    • I don't mind paying $15, but the Complete Edition is out there and I might end up getting that anyway for all the other DLCs, which would make it a waste of money.

  • Purchased…thanks for the heads up OP :)

  • +2

Good game civ 5 but very slow isnt it. Im not even sure if Im supposed to be at war with anyone.

  • It's not expired yet. And it looks like they've added more games to BTA and the $15 tier.

  • +1

Why do they no longer just give you the Steam key? It's annoying as having to link it to my Steam, I just want the damn key!!

    • +1

Prevents people from selling the steam keys off easily. Now at least they can track them if they need to.
