I reserved a phone for myself, however, the 1st lot shipment is almost sold out on the 1st day of promotion. So, I should get mine from next lot instead.
Yes, it's imported from US as well. 1 year "retune to base" warranty in Australia (Return to Shopping Square in Australia, and supplier will fix or repair any faulty unit.)
Buying one from the US would cost US$399 plus US$175 for early contract termination fee plus shipping etc so say $US550. With a true exchange of around 80c (inc bank fees) allow for $A700.
Having a friend in the US buy, signup, then cancel, and ship you the product will cost an extra "few shrimp on the barbie".
Then there is the unlocking the phone to use here, which is detailed on the internet.
Shoppingsquare makes it easy and appealing to buy. All power to them for showing the initiative and while I voted for this bargain, it's based on it's easy availability, not necessarily the value saving. If the warranty exists then that's an extra bargain.

That's not correct ozpete. You don't need to purchase a contract with the iPhone, and can pick one up from an Apple store or Online (in the US).
The interesting thing with the warranty is that the software unlock makes no permanently changes to the iPhone, which means that you can just restore the original firmware and Apple would have no way of knowing. You would then have to send it back to your friend in the US to have it repaired.
Not exactly all carriers though. The page mentioned the exception on Three.

Also noticed at the bottom of the page — 1 year warranty in Australia. Is that correct? I thought all these unlocked iPhone are imported from US, and once unlocked Apple would not want to touch it.
