This maybe a deal for .00001 of the population.

That would be 200 people in Australia. That many? :)

Actually many other deals are also limited in audience. They won't get upvoted that's all. I don't see any problem. Anyway what are you doing here, you must have clicked to come here.

Unfortunately that is about the percentage of the population with any real intelligence.

… and I have a search alert set for these deals!
      Didn't realise I am a probably an outlier within the 0.001%ers ;-)

I've always wanted to know how to use these modules. Does anyone have a tutorial, etc?

Though I barely understand what the product is, I feel posting deals like this should be encouraged. So it's a Plus from me.

+1. I've got some pretty obscure interests and I appreciate seeing the odd post that is great for me and maybe a handful of others.

looks like a good deal. Get one now and work out what do with it anyway. Might be can use it with all those eneloop batteries I got and couldn't use them all.

This seems a good price for the Infrared PIR Motion Sensor Module.
Many sellers on Ebay are selling what looks exactly the same board.
Almost all for a higher price.
I will probably get negged for saying this but one seller seems to have it for
$1.29 (free delivery), though it would have to come from China.

Just be careful when you buy these, the cheap HC-SR04's are solid ultrasonics but I have found make sure that you purchase a few spares because quite often you get a few DOA's other than that I wouldn't use them beyond 300cm and even then for best results I'd let it timeout after 150cm (doesn't work with woollen surfaces either). For more accurate range finding, I'd consider using say the Sharp IR Proximity sensors.

    • The detection distance of our item is 2cm-450cm.
If you find that it cannot work well beyond 300cm, please kindly have a check of the soldering of the detector, or if the detector has been broken by careless.

      Thanks!
