For anyone who hasn't yet played PlanetSide 2, I thoroughly recommend it. It's a free to play award winning combined arms FPS with MMO elements. There are 3 factions at war and each server accommodates 2000 players across 3 (soon to be 4) continents of size 8 km x 8 km. 100 v 100 battles are not uncommon. Most importantly, the dedicated Australian server (Briggs) is actually located in Sydney!

You make it sound like the servers are actually populated with a decent amount, which they aren't. Briggs has maybe 300-500 on at night across all 3 factions which isn't enough for a game this big.

      • I'm not sure why you think that. But these population statistics show that Briggs had over 1000 players last night, the night before, the night before that and around 1500 players on Saturday and Sunday nights.

I've never felt that the population on Briggs was too low. Actually I've only felt the opposite when I encounter a huge battle during peak hour and my framerate tanks or it takes a while to log on to the server.

      • I can usually find plenty of targets and others seem to find a shitload more than me.
But it could always do with more.

Yep, it is a fantastic game with a lot of depth. Makes COD/BF games feel very 1-dimensional and small.

      TR FTW!

Seems like an awful lot of effort to save $5…what am I saying? This is ozbargain you guys would walk 100kms to save $5 on a shoe resole :)

    • It does take some effort, but it's a $5 free credit, better than a saving.

Also, the app is actually pretty cool. The quests feature augmented reality 3D characters, you can look around, over and zoom in and out on them by moving your device in real space. I'd never seen anything like it before.

Think my phones a bit old, Everquest Worlds android link came up as device not compatible = sux, but thanks for posting

    • It must require a bit of processing power, rendering the animated 3D models and all. Anyone know a work around for that error message?

P.S. Works fine on my $39 Huawei Y201.
