Had one today - not bad but nothing spectacular. Still prefer Zinger.

Imagine the queues on Tuesday :)

Is this the one at Town Hall (corner of George and Bathurst)?

I think so. 485 George Street. One of the busiest corner in Sydney. Can’t imagine the length of queue on Tuesday…

Huge? Size of burger? KFC has always disappointed me in this regard. :)

Huge as in the possible lines to these stores once word gets out. Yeah burgers should be smallish I guess.

around the size of the original fillets, but it tastes better.

Yep, not a large burger by any means.

Kelvin Grove in Brisbane? Wow that’s lame. Why not CBD like the other cities? Talk about trying to minimise their losses. Or perhaps it’s like their TV ads focusing on students. Are there any unis near the sydney and melbourne participating stores?

moooooooo on 15/06/2009 - 00:35 ¶

RMIT is about 4 blocks away. UniMelb is a 15 minute walk / 8 minute tram ride. Students are right in the middle of exams though, so there’s not as many on campus as there would be a month ago.

hopefully I can get one between my exams tomorrow. Might help me focus better for the second exam. :)
Hopefully most of the Uni students in Melb are busy with their exams & the store does not run out or has long lines.

Ahem…
Actually the saturated fat is the bad type ( but I have still voted positive for your comment, as I know what you wanted to convey). They are harder to digest and full of cholesterol.

Please read this for further information.

I’ve just walked past the George St. Sydney store and there is a massive queue, not worth $5 burger to wait for 20 minutes (unless you’re a poor student I guess).

There is a KFC person however handing out free burger coupons valid till 23/6 which I took and will be redeeming my free burger sans the wait over the next week

Waited in line for 15 minutes at the George St store and also picked up a voucher for a free one valid for a week.
Not bad but nothing to write home about.

Waited in line at Elizabeth KFC, they said there’d be a 30 minute wait so took the coupon instead. Head over later in the week for some no-wait free burger.

Arrived 12pm sharp at kelvin Grove. Handed a coupon at the entrance. Waited in line for less than 10 minutes to be served and another 5 minutes for the burger to be ready. Tastes ordinary but a great freebie!

WA & QLD are largely franchise stores. This is a YUM! promotion so that is why there is no freebies in either state.
