Replace DC jack on ASUS Lamborghini vx7sx

I need to replace the DC power jack on my ASUS Lamborghini laptop. I bought it in Sep 2012 and the DC jack broke off within the first few months( it's a known ASUS problem) and was replaced under warranty. It has broken again and it's out of warranty by 6 months. ASUS refused to fix it under statutory warranty(was worth a shot).

So my question now is

1) Should I push ASUS a bit more?
2) Any reliable and cheap places in around Melbourne than can fix this?

    Give a check with Asus again and in fact it was a design problem of lamborghini series to have dc jack loose issue. If ASUS still have no idea, give it a go with APAC Notebooks in Moorabbin, contact them on 03 9555 8755 (their website is out of date seriously, but if you interested, www.apacnotebooks.com.au is their website), quote them the exact model and they may figure out the rough price.

    The ppl their is quite nice and I got two of my laptop fixed their, but just the place is not really public transport friendly.

    That's supposed to be a premium model. Should live for 3 years. If they fixed it once under warranty, its not a wear and tear issue. Go the statutory warranty.

    Thanks for your advice guys.
    Will give ASUS a call tomorrow and press for them to fix it under warranty.
