  • Nice!

    Excellent news for me. ty

(the fact that they can do 20% off those prices makes me wonder how big are their original profit margins… )

  • New to the 3DS. Any titles worth picking up from this sale? Any decent bargains?

    • +1

Just make sure the region is PAL. Won't work otherwise.

    • Don't buy! PAL games are too expensive on PlayAsia.

      • Thanks for the heads up. Any recommended alternatives for 3DS games?

        • Checkout ozgameshop. You can get $40-$45 3ds games with the discounts and coupons they give out. You can also use your birthday voucher for an additional $5 off.

    • It's a good place for import games for sure, but for local games… not so much.

      • Which import games are worth picking up?

        • Jojo

        • depends on your taste

        • I enjoy RPGs, action, puzzlers, survival horror, etc. Not really into racing and sports games.

        • Hard to gorge what you like so I'll just tell you what I like.

I play a bunch of JRPGs which is not usually everyone's cup of tea.
Planning to get Tales of Xillia and maybe even the sequel.
There is also the Tales of Symphonia Chronicles upgraded PS3 version (not getting this)
Going to get the 1st Neptunia re:birth game on PS VITA (in japanese).
Also getting Zero no Kiseki evolution on Vita (also japanese)

Maybe you will like Catherine on PS3. It's reasonably cheap atm. But could probably find local stock.
Maybe you will like Deadly Premonition director's cut (horror), but it's hard to recommend because of slow pacing (even though it's brilliant)

As far as imports go, they're usually Japanese games since EU and US share much the same games albeit at different prices. Also saw Ninja Gaiden 3 for cheap-ish ($30 minus 20%)

Delivery on playasia is free, but can take up to 3-4 weeks, usually 1.5 weeks.

  • Anyone see any bargains? I can't seem to find anything worth getting from Wii/WiiU/3DS, the prices just kind of sit at the price of Blockbuster/VideoEzy/Zavvi group. Well, so far I only see LOZ:ALBW. I know the prices aren't up yet but it's not looking good for those who have regionlocks :(

Should make Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance on PS3 around $14 delivered:

    • Jap version , does it mean non-english speaking?

  • No, I must refrain. ):

  • Very interesting. Will it also include the weekly and daily specials?

    I'm about to go broke I think…

  • I'm a bit disappointed, there was a couple of things I wanted and all of a sudden when there's a site wide sale 'out of stock'.

  • Prices still haven't been discounted.. does it require a code or is it automatic?

    • Yea same. No discount yet

  • Is it just me…or if you actually follow the advice on the banner about browsing with A-Z and In stock, you'll find a list of just DS games…well, only English DS games.

    • well i clicked on PS3 or PSVita before I did the filter functions.

      Also site is down now…

  • I haven't bought here before, what's the transit time like?

    • +1

I've had anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

  • Bought a few 3DS games from Nintendo, which never go on special.

  • Weird.
I'm not able to get free shipping anymore.
The cheapest option they have is:

    Economy Air Box
    US$ 24.90 (AUD~27.48)
^ this used to be free.

Did they phase out free shipping??

    • nm, you can't buy more than 2 items at a time or else its overweight

      • I bought 4 items, had no probs. However, I chose the box for 50 cents extra. The box is better anyway. I always go for the box. The bubble wrap bag doesn't protect the DVD/BD cases when they handle it, and you can get dents in the cover where there are holes in the plastic. I'm talking about the ring around the disc, which is concave. If you touch the back cover where that circular concave is, you will permanently crease the cover art.

I'm very picky about this kind of stuff.

Always, always pay the extra 50c for the economy box. It makes sure the postman doesn't wreck your covers by gripping it too hard. The only ones who can wreck it are PA themselves.
