[Price Error] $0 Seagate 2200mAh USB Pocket Battery Power Bank from MSY. Just Pay for Shipping

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Just stumbled upon this deal by accident. Just need to pay shipping of $10.91 ($11.31 after 2% surcharge for payment with CC)

2200mAh is probably good for a full charge for most phones.

The shipping amount doesn't seem to change with increase quantity of order. Not sure if this is a price error but I managed to order a few units within the same order. Hope they honour it.

  • Can you link to the product page, rather than a picture?

  • any link please?

    • your link still works i think

actually there's heaps in store guys. Just sold out online. You guys can go in-store get some.

    • +2

      How do you know?
      What price in store?

      • +3

The website lists the stores and the stock status?

  • Bought 5. If it's not an error probably give some to friends.

  • Out of stock already. Damn

  • +1

Looks like I was a few minutes too late.

  • Cheers OP I managed to get through checkout. Lets see whether they honor it.

    • +1

please let us know if they honor it, will go to the store tomorrow if they honor this deal

      • +1

Sure, it looks as though the order is on back-order…I've learnt that on OzBargain it pays to "buy first & ask questions later".

  • Would only let me add 2 to cart. So checked out with 2. Then checked order status & it shows 'Backordered'.

  • out of stock

    out of stock

      • No Sa :-(

        • -1

I think they have replenished because when I checked it was out everywhere. Now its back in stock (eg SA now has stock again).

        • -1

I negged because they were out Australia wide almost immediately (eg about 10 mins after it was posted i checked and it was out all over the place). They added stock later on so they went back in stock.

A few people were annoyed I negged it when they looked it had stock (again).

I don't mind people are free to do what they want :)

        • -1

False. In my post above at 00:03 they were in stock in the states I linked to. You posted at 00:08 saying they were out of stock, but I checked again and they were in fact still in stock at 00:09. I purchased from the WA store and the time stamp on my receipt says 00:08:30 (AEST).

You negged because Vic was out of stock and you didn't bother reading the previous comments or checking other states.

But no, I believe you. I'm sure MSY employees were working at that time of the night to replenish available stock on a price error item.

        • -1

well actually I looked at SA which suddenly had stock later on. So your the one that is wrong.

        • -1

Funny how 4NTINWOW4WARRIOR also saw no stock for SA but it was in stock later on when I checked again. But hey maybe they disappeared in 6 minutes then reappeared a few hours later. Must be those hard working MSY employees logged in late at night.

        • SA was out of stock AFTER I posted. As were all states eventually. Stock only reappeared once orders were cancelled and the price was corrected.

Oh, and it's "you're" as in a contraction of "you are".

    • Don't know why people drop harsh negs when broden's are getting flamed …

      • Funny that didsburydan made the same comment a minute earlier than drunifex and got no negs.

        • Because didsburydan didn't neg the deal

  • $19 shipping from SA to VIC, should i buy this or not

    • Order 4 or 5 to make it worthwhile ;)

    • At that price it's a bit expensive for a 2200mAh (unless you need something pocket size). If you don't then I'd recommend the Rossmoss 10400mAh. There was a deal for about $26AUD a few weeks back. But even for $32, it's still great value. 2200mAh will charge your device once and a bit I believe.

      • Depends on your phone how much charge you get out of it eg. large phablets can be 3000mAh+

        Still handy nonetheless

  • not out of stock in other states

  • WA online still in stock

    • can confirm, just bought 2 from WA

edit: showing out of stock now apparently

      • Yeah, out of stock. Had two in my cart… :(

  • +2

All states out of stock now.

  • Cant see see any info on this, just MSY and Ozbargain.
Google brings sweet FA. Pretty strange for a Seagate anything.
    Really a Seagate product?

  • +3

    Msy just got ozbargained.lol

    • +7

      Msy just got edwinlind ;-)

      What are you talking about?

On the best of days their site works as well as a Czechoslovakian refrigerator. It was already Oz'ed, we just 'Bargained it.

      • where did you get this from? Or you just picked random country.

      • +3

Czechoslovakia was dissolved in 1993, so you're talking about a fridge at least 20 years old…

        • +2

How much you want for it?

  • +4

I actually saw some stock but didn't have an account, and by the time I made one… gone.

  • Just ordered 6 by mistake (had 3 in cart from previous attempts) from online for local collection and it has gone thru here in WA

    • mine did that when i put 2 through 2 separate pages and it showed 4 in cart, but it then came up with not enough stock so i changed it to 2 and it went through :)

    • Sent u a pm.

      • +2

        Geez, get a room.

    • Do u need 6? can i get a couple off u? I tried to order it, but by the time i created an account, it was out of stock…

    • +1

Yeah seriously, sharing is caring bro. Help a fellow WA'ian out.

    • Postage costs for:
      Qty of 1-5 = ~$10
      Qty of 6+ = ~$20

  • Ordered 3 from Vic Pasco Vale store.
    Hopefully they honour the deal.

    • -1

Should have bought 10 of them.

      • +5

Na I didn't want to be one of those.

  • +1

I just bought 2 for pickup in SA. If I ordered it for delivery, it said out of stock, but pickup, it didnt seem to have a problem. Although, it's been limited to 2 per customer. I added 3 to cart, out of stock. 2 - fine. Went on different browser without logging in, added 2, no problem.

Could this have been some bizarre midnight marketing ploy by MSY just to get some extra traffic to their site?

    Wait, no it's MSY… it couldn't have.

  • +1

    ozbargained.

btw I still remember many years ago when i first visited their store in malvern east, one guy had a parking ticket but still smiling coz he reckoned he got the cheapest computers in the whole melbourne

    • +1

      he reckoned wrong.

      • +2

MSY may not be the cheapest store at the moment considering the like of Scor tech or cpl doing some really great deals but back at the time when computer swap market was the only mean to get some reasonable priced pieces of hardware, MSY was outstanding.

        • I remember visiting MSY when it was only one store in Malvern East as well.

This was before they had a website too. A really nice guy used to visit MSY each week, get a copy of their price list and type in the prices onto his website for us and they were always the cheapest.

        • +2

I remember the heyday of swap meets. Now they are irrelevant. Empty tables everywhere. Used to be impossible to get parking unless you got there before opening. Now you can go there after opening and find a park no problem. The guys taking up the most table space are now the guys selling miscellaneous cheap products like cables, screws, plugs, jacks, mouse pads, etc.

The prices are no longer competitive with stores. I can't see the market surviving more than a couple more years.

Many times I went there and walked out empty handed, $3 poorer.

        • +1

Good times, those swap meets. I remember going to one in 2003 and scoring a cheap USB MP3 player with a whopping 128mb of space, which was incredibly exciting since I was just a kid.

    • +2

Hehehe. I remember when MSY started operating out of a house in Mount Waverley,(1995?) before they opened the store in Malvern East. I remember thinking when I left the house, wow, there's a lot of dollars worth of stock in that house, with stock just crammed into all the rooms. Hope they have good security and locks….. Then they opened their first actual store and I thought they were finally legit. Now, they're HUGE!

      • +1

Haha I remember buying from a shop called discount digital photographics 10 years ago when they also operated out of a unit in North Sydney. There must've been at least $500k worth of photo gear in this unit that no one lived in. If I was a thief I would've really hit the jackpot.

  • +2

You've gotta love a late night OzBargain feeding frenzy.

  • dammit, been wanting to buy ONE of these for ages.. :(

    • So they forget to change the price for those since 15/03 and nobody noticed?

    • so we bought the free giveaways without the drives? Damn

      • Oh is that what happened. I just bought a smartStor NS2600 + a 4T HDD to get this for free, and had so much trouble getting the free deal package to appear. (Worked with the online store but postage was unreasaonble.)
Eventually had to do an on line order, then swap to a pickup store while shopping cart was still in cache.
They've obviously done a lot of work on their website, but it still sucks :)

  • Thanks OP. Just bought 3 to pickup instore.

  • +1

Another case of ozbargain tears and tantrums is on the horizon..

  • +2

MSY don't honour their legal requirements for warranty on items they sell, do you really think they're going to honour a $0 price error….

  • +1

    Back to $49
