    Whole heap of conditions. Sounds like a cloud storage option would be better in the long run, especially with AUs terrible uploads.

    …and if you don't update it, you've put an unpatched webserver on the Internet; you can expect to have it (and any machines on the same network) hacked. You're better off having someone else host and patch it, unless you really, really love installing updates yourself.

    If you absolutely need to run your own webserver, remember that there are a ton of free/open source ones - Apache, LightHTTPD, Nginx all run on Windows.

    Something better is the Open Source XAMPP from ApacheFriends.org (in .DE)

    Better because:

    1. It's all Free & Open Source (no silly conditions)

    2. There's a version for Linux (as well as Windows, if you must…)
      No one should have to run a web server on Windows" :me

    …of course, for better performance, LiteSpeed may be preferable.
    (OTOH, it's -not- Open Source… but it's got a free version with
    more reasonable conditions)
